The pittoresque mountain village of Dhimitsana with its breathtaking scenery and numerous activities to do is already a big advantage to spend a few days in the mountain region of the Peleponnesos. Staying at Guesthouse Amanites makes your holiday in Dhimitsana even better : the rooms are spacious, delicately decorated, with a well equiped bathroom and a nice little terrace. all reviews » Eros and Lena are wonderful hosts starting with the warm welcome until the sad-to-leave good-byes. The room was spotless and very comfortable with nice furnishings and down comforters. Eros helped us with our hiking plans, restaurants and parking the car! You cannot go thought the reception /dining area without being offered something delicious to eat or drink. Breakfast was sumptuous and bountiful, all served on china with the delightful view. We were there during a rainy, cool time and t. Amazing hospitality. I arrived by bicycle and the hotel owner was waiting for me in the street so I could find their lovely hotel more easily. Incredible attention to detail such as lenas homemade jams at breakfast and an incredible breakfast spread. The room overlooked the lovely village and mountains and was tastefully decorated. But the best part was definitely Lena and aris who went out of their way to help me with my bicycle itinerary and treated me to Greek grappa, coffee, cookies. This w. Aris and Lena, the owners, are two of the nicest and kindest people. They make you feel part of the family. The breakfasts are superb with home baked delicacies. Aris is very helpful and knowledgeable and makes a wonderful tour guide. Amanites is wonderfull located to explore the Louissos Gorge with its mysterious monasteries. The host & hostess were very kind and helpful in giving us all the required information for a hike in the beautiful Loussios valley. The room was clean and cosy with traditional but still up-to-date furniture. We booked a triple room and this time got a genuine triple room with a decent third bed. The view from the balcony was marvellous. The breakfast was more than ok. Although we stayed only one night we really felt at home. For us this deserves a 10/10 score. Both the guesthouse and the room we were allocated were charming and the couple who ran it could not have been nicer or more helpful, from giving us a hand with our heavy luggage on arrival and departure to supplying us with detailed information on the area and surrounding walks. The breakfast was amazing with all sorts of treats added to the normal spread. The room was great and the bed super comfortable! We had a great view and I wish the weather was better to sit in the balcony. The breakfast was amazing and Mr. Aris and Mrs. Lena made us feel like home. They gave us tips for the area and directions to visit nearby villages and monasteries.
