extremely friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff, good location, excellent restaurant and breakfast, great size and clean room, walking distance from lake and town, lovely authentic Blackforest building facing the forest. Staff very helpfull and friendly, quiet situation with a very easy walk into Titisee either along the main path or lovely river walk. Food was wonderful. English menus available and easily enough English spoken to get by.

Breakfast a little limited. Our beds were a bit soft (we stayed in the 'old' buildin) otherwise theroom and bathroom were fine.There is no room-service. Could be a problem in snowy conditions as hotel is some way out of town, on small road.Very difficult to find location even with Sat Nav. Bar wasn't open when we got back to the hotel in the evening. It's really dark to go at night. Maybe some more lighted signage shall be placed. Not all the staff can speak English.Bedroom was a let down as dark, and had poor sound proofing/draft with noise from nearby trunk road waking me up when traffic started to flow before 6am. The carpet was in need of replacement. The photos of the hotel are real but from selective angles and clearly the hotel is still a work in progress. Due to room and road can't recommend which is shame as staff were excellent as was breakfast. Hotel staff were very unhelpfull. We were specificly told there was internet available in the room, but there was not. Hotel lobby with internet access was not available beyond 930pm or before 830am.When we came to the hotel in 17:00 nobody from the stef was in hotel we looking and the hotel was cloes and i find a note where is the key. The family that runs the hotes are not too much guest friendly as a family run hotel should be.

Travelling information

By Car:
From the A5:
- Take the Freiburg Mitte exit, then follow the B31 towards
Titisee-Neustadt.
- Take the Titisee exit and once you reach Titisee follow green hotel route signs.
- When you see Seebachstüble on the green signs, follow these and this will lead you to the hotel.

From the A81:
- At the Dad Dürrheim junction take the B27 towards Donaueschingen.
- When you reach the junction with the B31 take this towards Freiburg, then leave at the Titisee exit.
- From here follow the above directions.
