Formerly a bakery and residential house, the hotel building was first constructed in the early 20th century. In the 1970s, the 2 timber-framed buildings were connected to form a hotel.

Information about the area

The Sauerland region offers a wide range of possibilities in all seasons. With its forests and hills, the vast landscape offers numerous hiking trails of different lengths, as well as paths taking you from village to village. Mountain biking, horse riding, swimming and golf are all possible nearby.

During the winter, the landscape is ideal for cross-country and downhill skiing. Just outside of the town, you find 3 ski slopes, including the longest ski run in the Sauerland region. Further skiing areas and ski jumps can be found 20 kilometres away, in Winterberg.
