Lovely hotel, very nice terasse, full of flowers and extremely clean, located on the banks of hte Rhine. The staff were very friendly, we had arrived later in the evening, but they had waited for us. The resstaurant is quite high-class, and amazing decorations. The scenery is great - the Rhine Valley and there is a castle across the valley. Although close to the main street, the rooms were very quiet. Internet access but had to make an account (easier to do for the geeks :). There is a passage .
all reviews » It was a great surprise to know the hotel. We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by the owners who run the hotel like a luxurious home. They spoiled us all the time: I was cold and she gave me some pills for flu; when we went way, in the morning, the owners even gave us valuable tips for the car rides. The hotel has a restaurant by the River Rhine which is very charming. The Hotel wasn't actually in Rudesheim which was an advantage located up the river a couple of km at Assmannshausen, a beautiful village on the Rhine. The family Klingenburg were extremely attentive and provided some very useful local information. The staff were also very professional and pleasant and the hotel food was excellent. Highly recommended. The staff greeting started the very friendly presentation of the hotel. It's location for a middle Rhine holiday is great. The view from the room balcony of the river is perfect. The food in the restaurant is first class and reasonably priced. All in all a great place to stay on the Rhine. Great scenery, friendly staff who all spoke English and were very polite and attentive. They seemed very happy to help guests and took pleasure in giving good service. It was my birthday during the stay and they helped to make our visit extra special. Everything. Eckhard Klingenburg was wonderful in providing help and information. Restaurant was beautiful and very good food. Great location to catch Rhine river boat to north toward Koblenz. Highly recommend. The management are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The restaurant is superb, and it's right on the River Rhein with a castle in view across the river. Breakfast was okay, perhaps fresh fruit and additional breads would help.
