Rantum on the island of Sylt is a nice and cosy village with almost only thatch roof houses. The restaurant "Sylt Quelle" is entertaining various cultural events over the year and offers delicious mineral water from an own well. 3 new boutiques are under construction, scheduled to be ready during high season 2005.

Musical events and guided tours through the mud-flats take place all over the year. Trips to the seal sandbanks are a nice change after a tour through the "Whiskey Mile" of Kampen, the village where Germany's rich and beautiful people meet during high season.
