The room was cozy, easy on eyes, has balcony(for smoking) and comfortable bed. Also enough space for relax. Pet friendly, easy access on internet. quiet, friendly stuff, nice restaurant as well, they serve dinner even we had a late arrival, good breakfast, clean room... everything was nice. The restaurant serves Upper Palatinate specialities as well as fish and game dishes. Enjoy your dinner with a beer from the Kulmbacher brewery or indulge in home-made bakery goods. Each meal is complemented with products from the hotel’s own butchery or wine cellar.

Information about the area

The distinctive Jura mountain landscape features numerous cliffs, impressive caves and vast forested areas. The botanic nature trail is a beautiful sight from March until October with local wild animals and endangered plant species. There are 120 km of hiking paths nearby, many cycling paths, and interesting and challenging mountain bike routes.

The Ossinger look-out point is worth a visit, offering beautiful views of Franconia and the Oberpfälzer region. The cliffs of the Jura Mountains have excellent climbing facilities and are frequented by many sports climbers. There is a riding facility nearby that also offers therapeutic riding programmes and rides in the countryside as well as the Königstein golf course. Due to its location Königstein is the ideal base for many interesting day trips around the area.

Our 20 rooms are modern and spacious. They all have an en suite bathroom and are equipped with all common facilities. Some rooms have a balcony or loggia. All floors are accessible by lift. Double rooms for single use are available. New: Non-smoking rooms on request and wireless LAN hot spot.
