very friendly staff, and excellent location. 15 minutes from europa park, 25 minutes from freiberg. In a nice small town with grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, shops. Hotel staff were friendly and understanding. The Hotel was very clean and the rooms were of a high standard. We had two rooms. The one that faced the parking lot was nice and quiet, while the other one - facing the street - was noisy.

The hotel's restaurant treats its guests to fresh, seasonal produce from the region, as well as good cuisine from France and the Baden area. The house specialities include fish dishes.
Most of the wines on our wine list come from quality vineyards of the region. A few choice wines from abroad complete our selection.
Hotel information details
Since 1896 the guest house has been in the possession of the Schieble and Schmid families. The building originates from the year 1820, and the new hotel building was constructed in 1983.
You can use the internet and the sauna free of charge. Our hotel has been awarded as a BIB Hotel in the Michelin Guide 2007 (the "BIB Hotel" is synonymous with "good price for a good night" in the same way as Bib Gourmand means "good food at moderate prices").

Due to its its excellent transport links (just a few kilometres from the A5, the national rail train station and buses), the city of Kenzingen provides an ideal starting point for day trips. Europa-Park Rust is just 15 minutes away from the hotel.

Travelling information
By car:
- Take the A5 motorway until you reach exit Herbalzheim.
- Here, continue towards Kenzingen on the B3.
- Approximately 400 m after the "Kenzingen" signpost, turn left.
The hotel's own car park is free of charge to guests. For the use of our garage we charge EUR 5 per day.
