This is a modern, up-to-date hotel. The rooms are very quiet and very clean. A refrigerator and a room safe are a big plus. Location right next to an S-Bahn station is great for traveling, and the stores there are good for picking up food and snacks. If the weather is humid, the A/C works great. We would definitely stay here again if in Hamburg. Excellent location right next to Ohlsdorf station, one stop on the train to the airport. Nice quiet location. Excellent breakfast. Free wifi & international phone calls a great plus for a business traveller.
all reviews » The hotel was very clean and modern. The staff was especially helpful. The free wifi worked extremely well. The train station was right out the front door and it was a quick 15 minute ride to downtown. Just next to S-Bahn, U-Bahn, connection to city great (even easier than we emagined) Hotel was super clean, realy nice design wise. It was very near to the airport, central station and opposite to our destination: the huge cemetery park in Hamburg. The hotel was clean and all media were available for free. Very friendly staff and excellent restaurant. Modern hotel with free high-speed internet. The breakfast at 14,50 euro per person was way too expensive for us, so we did not use it after the first 2 days. Plenty of alternatives nearby. If you get a room in the back of the hotel and keep your window open, you will notice the cigarette smoke from the cab drivers who line up there and their constant chatter. It's not that I personally didn't like the design of the room. It was fine for us as a couple. But had I been there with a friend or coworker, it would have been awkward. The toilet and shower are only separated from the room with frosted glass doors. Hotel was super clean, seams newly build, but for the 4star hotel I would expect a bit of details, like having shampo separate from soap (not together in one big plastic box), have tea cattle etc...but those are just minor think of course. The shower tray was too shallow and water came out onto the floor in both rooms. None. The shower and the closet are open and without separated-lockable partition. nothing really no shops except a lot of funeral services to purchase headstones. No internet acces in our zimmer. toilette fan is quite loud and cannot turn off by myselft. Noise fan. breakfast too expensive no lounge area for relaxation pillows terrible. Tea and coffee provided, but no milk! The chair and stool in the room were not very functional. The breakfast, which had to be paid for as an extra, was quite poor. This is NOT a four-star hotel, and I would probably not stay here again. Free Media Highspeed Internet, what?? No WiFi signal at all in all area's (lobby, room and restaurant). Appar. when Hotel is fully booked no signal. If you expect to work on the Internet, forget this Hotel. Restaurant food is poor (Wiener Schnitzel with a spoon of Cranberries and potatoes, no salad) No heating in room and in bathroom. Staff reserved when I complained of breaches. Breakfast expensive. Parking expensive. Hotel is not recomandable.
