Our stay at Bayerischer Hof could not have been better. Not only did the hotel have comfortable, modern rooms set in an old world feel, but the staff exceeded all our expectations. We'd had a rough day having just wrecked our rental car (do NOT follow close behind a bus in Freising because the metal pylons in the niddle of the road that the buses can lower will rise up out of the ground under your car and destroy it.). The manager at the hotel took outstanding care of us calling the car rental .

The breakfast buffet included in the room price was outstanding, with more variety and choice than I have ever seen in moderately priced hotels, and the restaurant serves good Bavarian cuisine in a "Bavarianly" elegant, yet "gemuetlich" atmosphere. The location is ideal for an early morning departure from the Munich airport, as the airport is an easy, practically door-to-door, 20 minute bus ride (for 2.60 Euros!) from the hotel. The h. We enjoyed the leisurely walk around the city and the wonderful evening meal upon our arrival and the buffet breakfast prior to our departure. The Bayersicher Hof had been highly recommended by a family member that has stayed there before - we were not disappointed!. Rooms are comfortable and quite adequate for an overnight or few day stay. Staff is friendly an accommodating and will help with any request. If they don't provide a service they will assist you in finding that service. Breakfast is excellent. We'd a problem with the invoice while checking-out (system failure) to go the airport. As my son tried clear the situation afterwards (we were already in the airport, we just couldn't wait 4hrs for the system to come back) the hotel's owner argued back instead of accepting suggestion and look our point of view. Owner= not customer oriented. The lack of wi-fi. only at the reception. Lift not working due the renevation. I reserved a shuttle from the airport 2 months in advance and the shuttle was a no show. I had to take a taxi after waiting for 30 minutes. It was rough after 13 hours of travel. nothing. WiFi was weak in room. Cost of overnight parking expensive at 20euros. There are stairs befor the room and the entrance, but the staff always helped me with my luggage. The appearance of the main entrance and the old fashioned main entrance doors. No air conditioning, windows open directly with no screen or safety bars (typical for the area) which can be difficult with children. Rooms a little bit old fashioned and tired looking. Difficult to find in the center of the city without detailed access description. No A/C at room. Parking. Hated the pillows - no support. Luke warm cooked breakfast options. I guess providing tea and coffee making facilities is an 'English' thing. parking underground have to take car down by elevator. Bar closed early, but found another in the square.
