This hotel was wonderful. Inside the old city walls, very easy to find! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Very comfortable bed and a large room. The breakfast was good, and the dinner(not included in the room) in the evening was superb. Overnight street parking was free but at 8am you had to pay for maximum one hour. Rather than move the car in the morning I simply chose to park outside the wall (very close) for free and walk in at night.
all reviews » We were well greeted and taken care of immediately. The owner and his wife were both so nice. The room was quite large for European standards and very clean. It wouldn't be considered luxury but it worked out just fine for us. Dinkelsbuhl is such a tiny town and even though this is a block or so off the main area the location was just fine and quiet. Excellent hotel with traditional furnishings and delicious food! Staff was friendly, professional,very helpful. Room was delightful and very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect. right in the middle of the old walled city. Highly recommend this hotel. Lovely village and hotel looks historic. However internally it has been sympathetically restored and it looks great. Large room with massive bath, shower and bed. Breakfast adequate but not special. A great area to visit. Everything - what's not to like? Gorgeous traditional German style house in the centre of town and great staff made it a memorable stop along the Romantic Road. We arrived late but were treated well and fed at just after 10pm The staff were very friendly and could not do enough throughout. Great, huge room. Atmosphere, we had the family room which was larger than we expected so we were very comfortable and able to relax. The staff was very friendly. Spacious clean room with large bathroom inside the town walls. The breakfast was good and the weinstube cozy on a rainy night. Beautiful four poster bedroom with 2 extra single beds and sofas - gorgeous. The building, the atmosphere, helpful staff. Location & Accomodation. No elevator, but again that is a comment not really a complaint. Not a big issue but had to leave car in a car park outside the city walls. No lift but reception happy to carry bags up. The soft pillows in Germany are hard to get used to - so bring along a firmer one if you need it. Nothing. Nothing, we were really delighted with this hotel. Nothing. Check-in and check-out hours are unusual. As I have only stayed for one night this was a big deal, and also I couldn't leave my bag on the check-out day, as it's only possible until 11AM. I stayed solo which meant having a double room for single use, not very cheap either. No elevator. Breakfast is classic.
