Excellent location and within very easy walking distance of the railway station (Versailles Rive Gauche) and the famous chateau. To make it a bit more special for my wife I ordered a bottle of champagne which was delivered promptly to the room about 5 minutes after checking in, even though we had been delayed at the airport and arrived an hour later than planned. Staff were excellent. The service and cleanliness far exceeded anything we have experienced in British hotels. The location was perfect for sightseeing and for travel in and out of Versailles by train.

The room was much too hot-- it is a complete waste of energy to have heating on all day and night. Even when I turned heating down/off- I was still too hot. The music in the bar was awful. Much better to have quiet or at least - jazz/clasical than music the bar staff enjoy! It spoiled the time in the bar when I just needed to relax. Thought menu for dinner was odd--and did not attract me.I cannot believe the price that is normally charged for this room / hotel. Certainly not worth the money if you do not have a discount from booking.com. The 'free' mini bar is also a joke. What is so exciting about a fridge that is empty except for 2 bottles of water!. the menu for dinner was very tiny. Poor service and not really up to four star standard.
