Polite, pleasant and helpful staff. Room clean, well equipped except for lack of fridge and ours had a lovely balcony, ideal for soaking up the evening sun! Comfortable bed! Very little road noise. Not able to comment on restaurant as it was closed that evening. Breakfast had a superb choice of breads and cakes, plus cold meats, cheeses, cereals, as well as some hot food. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Classy place. Everything! The house and the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and cosy. We hope that the restaurant will be able to reopen soon. A lovely quirky little place full of charm. Good breakfast. It's more of a big B&B than a hotel. All the rooms are different. A mix of styles but tasteful. The beds were excellent. Breakfast was a joy, too much to choose from. We did a stopover here rather than staying in Metz on the way to Germany. The town is a real eye-opener. The guest house is extraordinarily eccentric!. Large rooms, private parking. Our room was a bit small but fine for a short stay. Rather flaky and unreliable wifi. In room tea and coffee making facilities would be good. It is not their fault but no street signs. We were two minutes away and took two hours to find it. Nobody could help. When I called the hotel, they could not help me how to get there from the center of town, because no street signs. The locals don't know the name of the streets, only: Go on the street that takes you to the museum, then turn left, and ..." Pretty horrible experience, but the place and the people are nice. Nothing, all good. Wasn't full, yet was on the top floor with lots of steps to haul a case up. Description said room with mini bar, there was none. Breakfast very expensive for what there was. Raced to get there before check in closes, but I saw receptionist for another 4 hours. Had to cut short sight seeing for that!. location was idea for a stop over on route to Switzerland but do no stay on a Sunday because the town shuts, only 1 restaurant open and that was fully booked. All good. Nothing. Nothing. We booked this hotel because of it's restaurant and good reviews. When we arrived we heard that the restaurant was closed; the chef was on holiday. Not very cool. A long walk into town (in a gale as it turned and the place is on a very high hill). The curtains let way too much light in...so we didn't sleep that well. There's too much (albeit high-end) clutter...you worry about tripping over things!. Restaurant was closed, staff tried to charge more for the room than the booked rate and in stead of apologizing they became annoyed when I told them. Room on the attic very low ceiling and no lift to reach the third floor.
