When,after an eleven hour trip , saint remy's" le mas saint joseph" coldly refused to honor my four month reservation because i showed up in a travel scooter; i arrived with only twenty minutes notice ,at "le cheval blanc",as an elderly lady, in a state of shock over my treatment, exhausted,and depressed, to find tall,enthusiastic,empathetic Pascal,who promptly lifted my spirits with his energetic bounding up and down the staircase ,kindness, and help ( he secured handicapped train reservati.
all reviews » Location superb especially for the Wednesday market. Great terrace to sit and enjoy, staff happy for me to enjoy a wine and food (in the evenings) I had bought from the market. They have a fridge on each floor that you can store your food in. I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate staying again. We liked the central location to the town, were happy with the room and facilities and were impressed with the efficiency and helpfulness of the young staff, most of whom spoke excellent English. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning fabulous as it was very hot weather for the two nights we stayed. The area is fantastic for culture, wine and food. Great location Excellent A/C (very important here!) Convenient breakfast "Funky", comfortable, good size room - looked like something that Van Gough might have painted!. If the parking is full, you have no choice and you need to park in the streets around there. No fridge in room. Nothing, really. The price of the room, on arrival, was a little higher than that quoted on the internet. However, this issue was resolved speedily and to our satisfaction. This is not a hotel for people with allergies. Everywhere there is thick carpet. No Wifi reception in room, had to sit downstairs in hall to use internet which was bit annoying as wifi advertised as being available in all areas. Shower bit small. The bed squeaked very loudly and every turn and was uncomfortable. Bathroom with shower did not have a door for privacy. No wireless connection in the room only in the common areas. nothing. bed was not comfortable at all. the room could be much cheaper. We payed almost 70 euros and it was just a very basic room.... The room was tiny. the bed was broken, the mattress was too soft (we had to put it on the floor). the stuff was impolite. Stupid staff. No parking. Staff tould to put the car in a street aside. Someone damaged the car. Staff ignored our complaint. Breakfast poor and late. Non recommended.
