The stairways were more like an assault course than an hotel.
Good Location and well priced rooms.
Breakfast was poorly presented and little of it for 8 Euros, as the hotel Restaurant is used by English spoken people the Menu with English would have been good, also Tea Coffee facilities in the rooms would be great.
La Rotonde is in an area of St Malo that we haven't stayed before, and we'd done the walled city to death, so this was a pleasant change, right by the sea just to the north. Excellent value, and with a delicious pizzeria on the ground floor, which was busy even on a Sunday night, will definately stay here again
The stairs to the 1st and 2nd floors are very steep, so just a warning for the less agile

An excellent hotel not far from the centre of St Malo. Just a few minutes walk from the beach.The staff are friendly and helpful . We will come back again. Geoff Chapman
Size of the rooms was excellent , very clean well decorated with a good location for the beach. Fans were provided.Restaurant below hotel served very good, reasonable priced food and got very busy. Staff very friendly and the owner even spoke and waved to us in St Malo town. Will us again.
Just a very British thing but Tea and coffee making facilities would of been a nice touch.
The italian clerk is very kind and funny.. it was good time to stay..

Bar/restaurant with great atmosphere and value for money food and drink. Good, well located basic budget hotel. Local free parking.
The room was extremely good. Bathroom was large and newly renovated with an excellent shower. The beds were very comfortable and the in-room TV was a nice touch. Parking on-street was easy and the beach was only a block away. Access to the walled town of St-Malo is a leisurely walk or an easy drive along the beach.

The location was excellent. The room size was comfortable. Linen and towels were fresh and clean.
As seniors we felt a bit unsure in case of emergencies as there is no one on site after day hours. There was no documentation in the room, nor were we given any when we checked in, about contact phone numbers. We needed a taxi and had difficulty in finding out how to phone one. Finally we were given a phone number by the waitress in the restaurant below. It turned out to be the manager, we supposed. He arranged the taxi for us.
Welcoming and helpful staff. Nice and clean room. Staff gave good tips about the town and what it have to offer.
It was easy to get there by bus from the railway station, bus stop is in front of the hotel. Beach is 2 minutes from the hotel. Room was comfortable and clean.

Location very very good.Tiny balcony and door/window that would open really helped alleviate the smallness of the room.
2 lights did not work. Really is a small room. Would be really OK for a single person.
Near to wonderful beach
The view was good.
Don't eat at the restaurant! The staff were rude, completely forgot to get the chef to make one of our dishes, and they only cooked it when we reminded them we had ordered it. We ordered the bill, and 40 mins later asked for it again. My steak came rare, when I ordered it well done. Absolutely awful. Only ate there because there were so few local restaurants. I would not take children here! Room was same quality as one nearby half the price. Thank God we only had to stay one night.

As well as double bed there was a single bed which took up space and could not be used to take suitcases.

Although I advised the hotel that I would be arriving late no one was manning the hotel on arrival. Fortunately two other guests happened to be returning to the hotel at 11:40 pm. They let me in and I found a room with a key in it. I had to leave the hotel at 6 am and still there were no staff for me to see. There was no hot water in my room and I shall be extremely annoyed if my card is charged for a nights accommodation.

The room was extremely small for two people. The staff were indifferent.
Our roomwas cramped and at the top of a very steep winding staircase. Not good for a mature couple. Could not book in until the staff arrived, so were left hanging about in the rain.
