Hotel L'Hermine is a very pleasant place to stay. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a happy atmosphere evident as soon as you enter the hotel.
The hotel provides a good value breakfast. There is a plentiful supply of hot water for showers.
The hotel is well placed for the train station as well as access down the road to the Old City of St Malo but is much quieter.
We stayed in the hotel twice for a total of six nights and would happily stay again. all reviews »
Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners made us feel very welcome. The
hotel and room was spotlessly clean and there were some lovely touches
in choice of quirky pieces of furniture and decor. We were also lucky
enough to have a view of 6 seagull chicks on the roof outside our room,
learning to fly. There was a lock-up garage for our bikes and parking
directly outside the hotel.
The owner/manager was really nice helpful man who gave us lots of information. The room was big and the bathroom was even bigger.
There were lots of nice restaurants within walking distance and some really nice shops and close to the train station for Paris.
An outstanding Manager who was extremely helpful. Great location near the train station and a comfortable walking distance to the old city and the Ferries. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Such a comfortable atmosphere.
Excellent location, about a 3 minute walk from train station and about 15 minute walk to the St Malo old walled city. Hosts were very helpful.

The staff were friendly. The parking was easy and it was an easy enough walk to the walled town (about 15mins for an elderly man).

I have used this hotel four times now. It is useful for overnight accommodation before and after catching a ferry. There is free parking in the square by the hotel and I have always found a space there. It is a 15 minute walk to Saint Malo. The owners/staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable.

The decoration is a little tired and bits of it peeling off in places;
its a shame as this let it down in terms of value for money. However,
we'd stay again as despite this, it was spotlessly clean, secure and

It was a bit far walking from the old walled city of St Malo but later on discovered we could have caught a bus! Too easy!.

A bit of damp around the windows and the walls seemed a bit thin - potentially it could have been difficult to sleep if there had been noisy neighbours.

The hotel is too expensive for its condition. It is very tired. Some of the rooms are musty and our last one we had to have the windows open to air it.

Hotel is very old, the smell of mold in the bathroom, on the next rooftops there are nests of seagulls and their cries are not allowed to sleep almost all night, the breakfast is poor and expensive.
In need of updating and the location although not too far from the ferry was a little seedy.
We stayed in room 13 and it was unlucky!! It was terrible. OK the bed was clean but nothing else good to say. The bathroom was disgusting, mould on the walls in the shower yuk yuk. The view is on to corrugated roofs with cats all over.
