We were so pleased with our accomodation, it couldn't have been more perfect for us. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was some poor feedback about the sourrounding area not being very nice to walk through at night, whilst not the most fancy of areas, it was not at all daunting to us. We would definitely return to the chateau, it was beautiful and we really enojoyed our stay. Convenient yet quiet location within walking distance of the city centre. We rented a car and made two very easy day trips into the Pyrenees (St. Thomas Thermal Baths) and a visit to the Dali Museum in nearby Spain.
Our only point of contact, Tilman, was an exceptional host who provided numerous useful suggestions and directions. The Chateau is very safe and private with beautiful grounds surrounding it.
Staff very welcoming, provided map and pointed out the local places of
interest etc. Asked for a quiet room and was given a room on the top
floor next to another vacant room. Staff were totally unobtrusive, but
provided assistance when we asked for it, helping with train times and
advising we visit Colliniere on the coast which was a real delight, even
in the pouring rain (visited 19.05.13).
We found this something really very special. In the town but when the gates open felt like entering another world. Beautiful property and gardens so relaxing and charming host who clearly cared very much for our enjoyment of the property.
The staff were excellent - we had a flat tyre and lots of problems with the car rental company and Tilman could not have been kinder and more helpful. The rooms, facilities and parking were excellent.

I think if we had been staying for a week then we would expect to see a change of towels free of charge. However, this is not something that we didn't like it, it is merely constructive feedback.
It is a little far from the central hub if travelling on foot. Perfect
for those with a car!.
Small shower room. Shower screen ill fitting allowing water to flood
floor around toilet. Shower tray untidily sealed. The size of this room
would stop us from booking again unless we could negotiate an
alternative room.
The walk into town in the evenings to find a restaurant isa bit seedy.
