We had a wonderful room in an absolutely beautiful hotel. The renovation of a historic site has been beautifully done and the atmosphere is magical. There was a choice of 2 lovely restaurants. this was one of the nicest hotels i have stayed. it was beautiful and the staff were friendly and very experienced. i would recommend this hotel to any one who wants to stay in luxury. This is a very well appointed hotel occupying a newly renovated building. Particularly charming was the fact that the old chapel had been left on site for visitors to enjoy.

For us older folks, navigating the bathtub was a challenge - you needed acrobatic skills to enter and leave it. We had a very poor experience in the brasserie. The steak we ordered medium arrived bloody, and, after sending it back, it returned to the table in the same state, only colder than before!. no belgian tv programs, no bbc, no from the netherland. We booked a privilege room which turned out to be a bit smaller thannormal rooms in that price bracket. However the decor was nice and itwas Ok for one night. tea coffee in room would be good. Bedside light control very un-handy. Staff mostly unfriendly and unresponsive. Some positively surly.oneexception being the receptionist who greeted us and showed us to ourroom who was charming and informative.The bathroom was quite cold and although the bed was very comfortable the pillows were too bouncy and quite uncomfortable. the food not ****+ ,the location ,no parking nearby!. The server in the restaurant was a little bit arrogant. Brasserie closed on a Monday. Staff were a bit cold and unfriendly. The room was a twin room converted to a double and the switches for the lights etc were not accessible easily.Our room was very small and badly equipped. We felt it was poor value for money. Also, it was a bit too far from the centre of town for us.
