The room was very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was served in the room by the staff and was good. The hotel is also very close to the city center and you can visit everything only by walking. If you return late in the night, you can enter using a code. We stay at this hotel a second time. There is very good location in centre of old town, near train station. Clean, quiet, budget. There is a friendly staff.In rooms all necessary facilities: hairdryer, electric kettle, standard packing shampoo.

It was unseasonally cold when I was there and the room was freezing. When I asked if the heating could be switched on, I was told there was an extra blanket in the cupboard, so I had to wrap that around me to keep warm. No sound isolation between the rooms. The owner/receptionist is very informal and just for 5 minutes of late checkout he got a bit rough. Bad heating system when it's cold. Bed not so comfortable. A bit dry. no elevator. Our bike was stolen overnight as we could not secure them. I didn't know about Lille so was unaware it was difficult. The room was Ok but very old and run down. They try their best but there is a lot to fix in this place. Hotel seemed expensive and dated; toilet was too small to be able to close the door and the ensuite was partitioned from the room, not a separate room; beds were uncomfortable; overall the hotel was functional but not great in any way. They only turned on the heating during the night, at since it was cold and rainy, we didn't like that. I arrived later than my husband at night and nobody would open the door, I was ringing the bell for around ten minutes. Finally I asked for help at the restaurant next door, where the man nicely called the people at the hotel to open the door. So be careful if you arrive later that 10 pm. No sound isolation between the rooms We could not sleep at all.
