The Le Château D'etoges is so beautiful and the staffs are very nice. We would like to stay one more day but unfortunately they were fully booked. Everything.............perfect place for champagne....perfect food and perfect service....second to none,. Chateau was wonderful in a very peaceful location - very atmospheric and decorated beautifully. The chateau is beautiful and the dinner was fabulous! We felt like royalty!.

The restaurant and the food were excellent, the atmosphere in the chateau very restful, but above all the staff could not have been more friendly and impressive. Both at reception and in the restaurant they were superb. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, beautiful setting and an excellent restaurant with over 70 champagnes on the wine list!. Quite, peaceful environment, charming piano room with chess and chimeneyand good restaurant. Everything about the hotel was perfect, we will definitely be returning in the near future.Staff was excellent, chateau itself was fantastic. dined in the restaraunt.i like the location. The restaurant, in the Orangerie, is trying to be first class, but has not trained their young staff well. They were officious and pushy, trying to sell the most expensive wines. The staff in the chateau itself were excellent, efficient and friendly. building work going on at time of stay.The air conditioning in the Orangery was not very effective, the towels were not changed during our three night stay and despite ample forward notice, and an acknowledgement on our arrival, they had not catered for my dietary requirements. Breakfast was rather expensive for what you get in return (compared to other hotels). Furthermore, not all products were continuously refilled during the breakfast hours. In my opinion, food like eggs, bacon, cheese, ... should be refilled until breakfast time is over.Only formal dining,also needs something casual. No water/coffee/tea in room.The room was big and the fourniture was according to it, but it couldreally use a restauration. clear emphasis on getting guests to dine there-- great food but very expensive and elaborate for every day. at these rates breakfast should be included in room rate. 20 euro corkage for wine opened in the room seems punitive, particularly given that this is wine country. where else are we supposed to try the wines that we have purchased on local cellar tours, etc.The price of wine was extremely expensive, and not that good ..... minumum price € 45 ...... and tasted like a €10 bottle. The restaurant staff. In the middle of nowhere! Need a car to get around to any of thechampagne houses (30 mins from Epernay and 50 to Reims), blink and youwill miss it! Reception wasn't in the same place as our rooms, eitherwas the breakfast room, but the restaurant was, not many localfacilities (supermarkets, chemist, petrol station) and don't stay on asunday as nothing is open! Also, hotel is very over priced. The interior is in desperate need of an update. Furniture in bedroom was poor quality and not utilitarian. The canopy above the bed was very dusty and torn. Curtains at window were same poor quality and not fitting for a beautiful old chateau. Bathroom was dated and not in good condition. Fountains outside kept running all night made sleep difficult. everything - it was dirty,no facilities, over priced and the room we were in for 250euros, was tiny and the bedlinen left a lot to be desired. 1. Etoges is a poor village isolated from the rest of the representative areas of Champagne; 2. Chateau is un-renovated surrounded by a brown stinky water; 3. No A/C; 4. If someone else use the toilet in their own room you will smell the result; 4. Price of wine is very high even though located in a wine region. 5; Additional EUR 8 if you want to drink your wine outside restaurant.
