This experience was one of a kind for us. We enjoyed our stay in Chateau d'Esparron very much. 1. Our hostess Charlotte Ann and her husband are the owners of the castle. They take good care of it and the guests. During our stay we felt warm welcome and hospitality from Charlotte Ann, their kids, and the staff. They are very knowledgeable of the neighborhood and very much willing to help. Got a comprehensive listing of nearby restaurants & tips. We got excellent driving route advise from Cha.
all reviews » Exceptionally nice staff, the hotel is a family business and they put in a lot of effort to make you feel welcome. The rooms are beautiful and spacy, but can be a little cold. When we came they had already put in an extra heater in the room, but this is probably not necessary in summer. The breakfast is very nice served in an old kitchen with a big fireplace. A gorgeous chateau!!! So special, unique and romantic. The hoster was extremely nice, very helpful and welcoming. She had a great ideas of where to walk in the area and did here best to make our stay unforgettable! In addition, the breakfast is very much recommended. Very rich and tasty. We'll return for sure!. The castle and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was perfectly clean, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The owners are very considerate and checked in with us several times during our stay, suggesting activities around the area and making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Very friendly host and great service, nice big rooms, truly authentic castle flair all around: from room furniture to medieval breakfast kitchen and winding staircase, from courtyard alley to tower with great view. Location simply perfect for lavender field trips.... Superb location and surroundings. The whole family, including family pets, made us so welcome. They were very hard working and genuine hosts. The atmosphere of living in the castle with mature surroundings made it a very special experience. The attention of the host family was more than exceptional. Our suite was gorgeous.The Castle is really amazing and perfectly situated as it as surrounded by many lovely places that are only few minutes by foot or by car away. A unique experience staying in a genuine centuries old chateau. The rooms were very comfortable and Bernard and Charlotte helped make our stay truely memorable. Great view of the countryside, large, beautiful rooms, as expected for a chateau. Like a fairy tale... The road to the castle is winding and might not appear on GPS for a perfectly accurate position. It was very helpful with a Greeting letter sent by the host Bernard upon confirmation of the booking. They are also one of the few that sends a greeting letter with reminders and direction advise aside from some big hotel groups. We find it very helpful. It's hard for us to think someone could fault this accommodation. We definitely recommend it to those who travel with car in the area. Everything was just perfect :). Breakfast is not included in the price of the room and costs an extra 15 euro. Cannot think of anything we disliked... Internet access is not very good upstairs; hot water for bathing is limited; they have great suggestions for restaurants but the estimated drive time is not accurate...too optimistic (roads are twisted so it's not easy for first-time visitors).
