This was probably the best price to value Hotel we have ever stay in. It was a stop off family room for four whilst travelling down through France. What a surprise, beautiful setting on the edge of a lake with a balcony view and outdoor pool. The food was excellent, the best €20 menu I've ever eaten. We wanted to stay another night. Late arrival, rang for password. Worked well, key waiting on desk. Basic but reasonable breakfast for 7€. Bedroom clean & tidy.

Nice view of the small lake from balcony. Food in restaurant excellent if a little pricey. Would be nice for summer visitors because of the outside space but maybe not so much autumn/winter. Restaurant food was very good for Adults but nothing to cater for the fussy typical Teenager who isn't ready or wants to explore new/different foods. Work was being carried out on the pool and it was a real mess. The photo of the pool is unrealistic. Bed headboard, of dubious brown colour was a heavy drap, and was not attractie. Nothing. In need of a little tidying up outside. Slightly surly breakfast staff member... Slightly faded ambience of pretty park and grounds. It was OK - no problem. outdated. The exterior of the building and the grounds are very nice but not well maintained. Rooms were basic and lacked some TLC : bulb missing, had to ask for extra towel. Substandard bathroom fittings and furniture - all a bit sad. This was in sharp contrast with the restaurant which was gourmet standard, nouvelle cuisine where the chef took a great deal of care with the presentation and preparation of the food. A pity this wasn't reflected in the rest of the hotel. having said that the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Needs some style refresh. Hairdryer not working. decor a bit faded; shower not great; 'room overlooking garden' was in fact 'room overlooking unkempt patch of grass which is really the car park'. Mattress stained, burns on carpet, stains on wall/ceiling, no fitting for shower head on bath, no seats on balcony, quite near to the road so traffic noise. Could be a really nice place with a little more tlc although room was changed on request. Room smelled very musty, sadly view was of the Car park and main road, breakfast was awful for the price of €6.50 each, stale bread etc, Flunch may of been a better call !!.
