Undoubtedly the attention from the owner. Always available and willing to help the customers. The local is an old "mason" but it has its charm and it's noticeable that they care about the details. It's just 10 minutes walk from anywhere downtown. It is near enough to easily access the restaurants and bars and far enough to avoid any possible noise from the crowd (in our case there was a city festival with lots of people in downtown).

Le Patron is a gem - friendly, helpful, and appreciates any attempt to meet him part way with a little French, after which he displays his very good English,. We felt right at home and had a very pleasant stay in this house, just about 20 min walking from the old city. The breakfast was good, served in the lovely greenhouse. the room was spacious the only staff was very friendly and helpful the furnitures and decoration in the room and common area are nice smooth wifi in the room the little garden is good for relaxing too need relatively short time to walk to Cacarssonne castle. The host is very friendly and nice. The place is very spacious and it's coziness makes you feel like home. It's 10 mins walk away from the train station and city centre, around 20 to 30 mins to the castle. The restaurant Le Clos Occitan is amazing too!. The hotel was ideaaly placed in Carcassone. The hotel owner, Joel, was so helpful from start to finish. He makes you feel at home. The garden is a relaxing place to sit and read and the end of a busy day. If you need any information just ask Joel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He rang ahead for us to try to sort out a problem with our next accommodation. Loads of breakfast with a wide choice. The owner also provided local information on restaurants and sights to see. loved the room - great views and comfy in trendy style in contrast with home-style of communal areas, friendly service, good information provided in a helpfully succinct way, convenient location though not central. I had a good stay as a solo traveller the staff was most welcoming and helpful with advice about Carcassonne. The room I stayed in was comfortable with fabulous views! They also have facilities to cook in. Guel the host was very helpful and friendly, rooms excellent decour, good bathrooms and comfortable. Breakfast was the best in three weeks in France. Towels could be bigger!. Wifi was a bit dodgy. Cleaningness was not great. We stayed here 2 days and they didn't do our room. The whole building is beautiful but looks a bit run down.
