Eleven of us stayed in six rooms on the seventh and last night of our group cycling holiday. Wonderful location inside the castle in a delightful town. Plenty of space in a garage for our bikes. After looking at other restaurants in town decided to stay in the hotel for evening meal. Fairly pricey but good quality food and wine. Ditto breakfast. This was our second stay at this hotel. It's in a pleasant little town, which is worth a visit, and the hotel is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a little on the dated side now, but not shabby, and in keeping with the overall feel of the hotel. The restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices.
all reviews » The location is second to none! The greeting on arrival was excellent and we were given a choice of rooms. The food is superb and not over expensive. Dining room staff were lovely. The building is amazing - we've only ever stayed in a castle once before. Parking right in front of hotel. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. We were given free upgrade since not all rooms had been taken. Good menu and most of the food and wine excellent. Fish course particularly tasty. Generous portion sizes including Calvados! The breakfast could be a little more comprehensive (ie, no meats), but the items provided were delicious, so a minor point. Nothing to dislike. Lack of English language tv or radio. Meal let down slightly by some items being straight from fridge and too cold; bread quality. But very minor niggles as overall excellent. Monday morning market means the car park is very busy so you have to be careful not to be blocked in. . Nothing They compensated for not being on the main tourist trail by just being very nice!. There is nothing to dislike believe me. The "address" Cour de Chateau wasn't recognized by our gps. But the town is small enough that there was only "extra turn". No bar. No outdoor sitting area (so far as I know). Uninteresting village. The location ended up being a little far from what we had come to see so we had to drive further than expected. There was only one person serving breakfast. This was inadequate for the number of guests and resulted in a less than enjoyable breakfast. nothing. Nothing. nothing. The fall off in quality in restaurant. Nothing to dislike!. Bathroom fixtures were worn. unable to park in grounds due to annual fair in progress. No air conditioning (can open windows but then mosquitoes get in...). Nothing to do in Bricquebec.
