Information about the area

Trogir is situated only 3 km from Split Airport and connected by sea lines from the port of Split. In the natural ravine between the mainland and the island of Ciovo lies this city of enchanting natural beauty, with hundreds of years of cultural heritage. Trogir carries the name "stone beauty" thanks to the concentration of palaces, churches, towers and fortresses on this small piece of land. Greeks established the colony of Tragurion there, and in the first century the Romans declared it a municipality and the centre of the Roman province of Dalmatia.
