Boban Luxury Suites and the owner Dennis was an amazing experience! We usually dont give feedback like this but after staying at Boban, we did not have any choice anymore because the place was superb! We stayed at Boban our first and last night during our week motorbike-trip around Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia in middle of October 2013.The room was so luxurious and clean and the breakfast was also delicious! all reviews » The best possible choice to stay in Split! The location is just perfect (within 5 minute walk you can reach 3 of the best restaurants in Split, two of them with seaview). Boban is just 15 minute walk from the city center and 3 minute walk from the beach. It is situated in the beautiful and peaceful area. But the most worth of the stay is facility and Boban restaurant - we stayed in the penthouse - beautiful rooms with amazing, spacious terrase. Cleaned every day. And breakfast was just deliciou. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was VERY GOOD...everything fresh and tasted very good. There was a 20% discount offered if you stayed in the hotel. 10-15 mins walk from the beach and about 20 mins to the City Center. Free/secured parking was also a plus. In addition, there were numerous cafe's in the immediate area and there was a nice, inexpensive supermarket ~200m away from the hotel. Bo. Boban is a little treasure!! We loved our stay there! The rooms are big and beautiful, and have a private balcony where you can see the ocean from, just so beautiful! Dennis and Joe were wonderful hosts! We were picked up from the airport, this is very helpful! The food was delicious, we had lovely breakfasts every morning and the dinners were fantastic! We stayed at Boban for the first 3 days we arrived in Croatia and it really set us off loving the country! I would definitely recommend this . The hotel is a real jewel. It is small and the owners are very helpful and motivated to give an excellent service like free shuttle from/to Airport, tour advisors etc. The rooms are new, very clean and quite big. They started up recently with the hotel service. The attached restaurant has a big choice of good home-style menus. The Hotel offers free use of bikes which was very appreciated. It is a very recommendable ***-star hotel and we are sure to go back there. We felt very welcome in this Co. The room was large and really comfortable. The balcony was private and had beautiful views. The dining area was relaxing and set within a lovely garden. But what really made it were the superb staff, they were most gracious and helpful and could do enough to assist us in resolving a small travel problem we encountered. The food was delicious and extremely good value. The 'icing on the cake' was the opportunity to sample Dennis's home made cherry and fig brandies. We had a superb visit!. An absolute gem of a hotel, the staff are a real credit (Dennis in particular), we had the 2 bedroom apartment and it was luxurious, brand new and massive. Everything you need is here. Chocolates on the bed, free bottled water, bathroom amenities, air con all furnished to excellent standard. Breakfast outstanding and the restaurant is impeccable. The 20min walk to the city is safe and interesting, and getting out of the city is a piece of cake. The room was fabulous, spacious, light, with a lovely bed and the most amazing bathroom (plus chocs on the pillows!). We even got a free lift to the airport the next day. We loved everything!!!. Some people may appreciate a lift instead of the stairs. The tenis-court is close to the hotel and sometimes they start with the training early in the morning. You're kidding?. nothing. Our GPS couldn't find the location as it was listed on letsbookhotel.com. I believe the spelling of the street is incorrect, but if you get lost, from the motorway turn left at the hospital and go 500 Meters then ask someone. I can t think of anything. It was all good. Nothing. Nothing. Everything was wonderful. Dennis said that there are plans for an elevator and pool. These features will further improve outstanding value for money. None. Would have been so much better with a kettle in the room. - Variety of breakfast is 2 stars maximum - No elevator (which they say will be added next year). Climbing up to the 3rd floor may be a challenge for some. - The (booked and paid for) sea view was in fact a narrow stripe of blue only visible if you leaned out from the balcony railing. You may want to make sure to get another room than No.4 if you booked sea view. Staff were a little funny, but they may have struggled with my Australian accent. All speak good English. Nothing. It stated that we have a sea view but it is not really a sea view as it is a bit far from the sea. Nothing :). nithing. -Noisy tennis court just below our room -Quite a long walk to the city centre -I didn't see any PS3 in the room (not that I needed one) -Only cash payment -No sea view. The distance to the center was a 15 minutes walk. A bit too far for us. unfortunately the reception wont work after midnight tennis court by the window going construction work (hope it s gonna end this season). Breakfast was a bit DIY.
