  This is a unique looking hotel, full of interesting design (all for sale, if you're interested). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (though not all spoke English), and when cleaning my room they even kindly washed my clothes without any request from me! Excellent breakfast, 28 RMB for guests that included delicious Western and Chinese ... what people say » food. This was a far nicer place to stay than the 5 star hotel I was at in Beijing, much more character too. - I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of hospitality shown by almost every single one of the staff in this hotel. I was particularly impressed by the intricate personal touches shown by even the housekeeping staff . I would strongly recommend any traveller who is weary and bored of the normal business and luxury 5 star hotels and indulge a bit in the warmth and care of the local people here :)

  Although only a km or so from the Qingdao seaside. There are 3 hotel buildings set in park like grounds. It feels a lot further from the Qingdao hustle than the actual distance. It was quite an easy walk down to No.1 beach then keep heading past No. 2 beach. Very beautiful walk which gets more interesting the further you go.
