The staff was great, first real english speaking staff we found in all our trip to China. The restaurant food also really good. Try the local fried rice here and other local products.
Not only that, really helpful and efficient with tours and possibilities in the area.
Even helped us avoiding a scam where the bus ticket office lady didn't wanted to sell us a bus ticket and told us the only way was to go in taxi. They offered someone to come talk to the bus station in Chinese and no proble

We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Staff were very informative even before we arrived, sending us lots of maps and tourist information. They also arranged to pick us up free of charge from the local town. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and given a map and details of routes around the mountain.

The room was a decent -
Wayne, the owner of the Pine Ridge Lodge not only speaks excellent English, but he is also extremely friendly and helpful. We got picked up from the bus station for free and he organised various things for us such as bus tickets for our next trip, transport within HuangShan, a Chinese prepaid card and so on. This is really great if you just don't speak any Chinese yourself and are already tired to try to get around through communicating with your hand and feet.
