Staff are very friendly, they gave enough information for us to do city sightseeing by our self. Quick Check in and check out process. Now, they have lift to help you with your luggage :). Room is so comfort and big, with sofa next to the window, ac, bath tub, water heater, traditional tea maker tools, tv, internet, nice bed, toiletries, etc. Across the hotel there's a nice lake with trees. Close to Elephant Trunk Hill (just few minutes walk), some local restaurant, night market, local grocerie.

Its like a boutique hotel and the rooms and layout are a nice change to the typical big hotel in china. They can do laundry for you at a good price which was great to have. The antiques throughout the building are fabulous! It was like we were staying in a museum, not a hotel. The staff was courteous and responsive. An evening meal was surprisingly good, not Chinese but Italian food. The location in front of the lake and closer to restaurants and shopping area. The room very big with all the comodities and the personal very helpful. They speak English which is really a plus in China. Only thing missing is a fridge n safe deposit box in room for the money paid. Otherwise an excellent place next to lakes, food street, shopping mall all walking distances. TV didn't have any english channels - no big deal. not impressed with breakfast . but views fom the restuarant was amazing !. nothing. Beds are a bit hard (as they many times are in Asia). rather hard mattresses which gave two of us lower back soreness in the morning. N/a. lack of restaurant during our stay. The expensive coffee in the brealfast room upstairs. One breakfast with eggs,jogurt,orange juice and coffee is 50rmb, if you want one tea or coffee extra they charge 40 rmb.. Crazy !!. Hotel a bit stark and gloomy as are many China hotels. Too much gray tiling, but perhaps that was part of the museum theme. Too many payable extras. Much noise during night and morning. Seems there is a popular morning dancing spot in front of the hotel. During the morning while packing-up, we turned over one of the pillows only to find dried blood over the back of the pillow. Certainly disturbing. Also, the 5th floor area for breakfast is extremely hot and only a small fan to keep the patrons cool. Bed was like sleeping on a stone slap. Could not lay down for more than a half hour without waking up. Breakfast not worth the 50cny.
