Went for the location (walkable from Central Station, where the airport express arrives; central pier for boats to islands;; and Soho for nightlife). Stayed twice once on 30th and once on 31st floor both of which had nagical views. Al fresco coffeeon 4th floor. -

I had a stopover in Beijing for 14 hours, my flight landed at 11pm, I phoned the hotel soon after landing and a shuttle was sent over promptly. Booked the hotel as an overnight stay while in transit. Very nice and helpful staff. Got a free room upgrade, near to the airport, free shuttle. Comfortable room. If you are like me and arrive late at night and your phone doesn't work in Beijing, there are payphones at the airport that do free local calls. It took me a while to figure out how to dial the airport since all had was the international phone. If you are in the same situation as me, start dialling from the '0'.
