All the staff at the Humphry Inn and Suites were excellent; they were so helpful and friendly and eager to help with advice about local places to visit and where to eat. We were always greeted warmly when we passed the reception area. The hotel is well located close to the city center and the Forks. Rooms were spacious, very comfortable, very clean and quiet. all reviews » I was greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, the downtown location is very convenient to all the city has to offer, and is within walking distance of The Forks Nat'l Historic Park. The free parking for this downtown location is much appreciated and a huge selling point. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast included hot food, and was served in a nice ground level dining room. The free newspaper was appreciated as well. All in all a great experience and I would happily stay aga. Arriving via train for buiness in central Winnipeg we chose Humphry Inn and Suites for its location, reasonable tarrif and positive reviews, and we were pleased with our choice. The included breakfast was tasty and provided plenty of choice, and we appreciated the 'breakfast bag' provided for our early flight on our final morning. Staff were helpful and our room was spacious and well appointed. Wifi speed was much better than most other places we stayed. Very clean, very quiet, very friendly. Location is quite good, being close to the Forks, and the general downtown area. Winnipeg was a great visit -- just did our first -- excellent for those that like walks or bike rides through green spaces, and museums. Walking distance to train station, French Quarter, The Forks, downtown and car rental. A comfortable, clean hotel with everything you need. Very nice breakfast area for a budget hotel. The bed wasn't very comfortable, kind of hard. There was only 3 pillows on the King sized bed for two people. Being pregnant, sleeping comfortably is hard to come by but my husband also thought the bed was hard. Too much paper and styrofoam waste at breakfast. Use recyclable materials!. Poor WIFI, during my four days stay. Could not fault it. The hot tub was not in working order. We booked this hotel specifically for a pool and hottub/jacuzzi so we were pretty dissapointed it wasn't working and feel there should have been some warning. Some of the buildings to the immediate south and the north are vacant and are creepy at night. Only that the Hot Tub was out of order. Also it would be nice to have a lounge area. Winnipeg cuisine!. The swimming pool was very chlorinated and not conducive to swimming. That the pool and hot tub were down when we were there. The breakfast was not the best. Hot tub was under repair.. Limited parking at facility, food shortage at breakfast. (Although I was there at 9 a.m. the french toast had been depleted and there were only few sausages left. No other options for protein-type foods). Disposable cups, plates & cutlery not great. the hot tub was a little grungy and a little smelly -. The breakfast was unappealing. Nothing. Tv did not work bathrooms need a little work. Nothing. maids where lazy @ there job it was a chaore for them, had to keep going and asking for stuff that was not in the room, also the water was brown and aweful !!!. Pool closes too early. Most hotels close their pool at 11pm, not 10. Although the free parking was a bonus, had to park across the street most of the time. Replenishing of buffet breakfast items was slow and ill-timed, ie they'd bring out a stack of bacon but the egg pan was empty for another 5-10 minutes. Bedding was either old or not cleaned well. Appeared grey or dirty. Did not like your prices. We have travelled extensively and your prices are really gauging. Most hotels of better quality charge less include breakfast have coffee in the lobby at all times. The rooms were clean but your hallways and elevators were dingy.
