Charming B&B located just off the ferry on hwy 138 on the edge of Tadoussac. The welcome was warm and friendly and as the house was not full we had a choice of accomodation and took a charming chalet/cabin behind the main house close to a lake. The room was spotless, roomy, well-equipped, including TV, and very comfortable. Being behind the house made it more quiet as the house is close to the highway. The main house is very nicely decorated and quite charming with lovely flowers in the fro.
all reviews » Clean, comfortable, charming facility and surroundings. It has a big yard in back that goes down to a small, lovely lake. They have 2 kayaks and 2 bicycles available for guests. It is within walking distance of the main part of Tadoussac, which is a small community. Staff was very helpful and cooked breakfast was very good! Our room was small but had a charming sitting area on an enclosed sunroom. The staff was excellent. When they found out that we had accidentally booked the wrong date, they were quick to find us a room...which was beautiful...and clear up the problem with letsbookhotel.com. Room was clean, well decorated, and even had a front enclosed porch that we could set on and relax...in our room. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Wonderful inn next to a lake. The inn was very quaint and incredibly clean. The breakfast is not buffet style, instead they give you a plate with some meat, egg, yogurt, fruit, toast, croissant, cheese; all very delicious. The staff speaks English, and were very helpful. They will even book the whale watching tour for you. The staff were extremely helpful and really went out of their way for us. The Auberge has an amazing back garden which leads down to a lake where you can use the canoes that they provide. There are also bikes available too. And the breakfasts are wonderful. Amazingly helpful staff particularly with special dietary needs. Delicious breakfast magnificently and creatively presented. Lovely setting if in back two cottages away from main road. Helpful bookings at a 10% discount to cruise and information for bear tour. Extremely friendly and helpful owner who seemed to want nothing more than to make her guests happy. She got up early on two days of our stay to make us a copious breakfast because we had to get going before the usual breakfast hour. Very friendly staff, decent breakfast included. Room with terrace to the back side. Garden and lake . Easy to get to the harbor for the boat ride. House and room are Victorian style, but well maintained and comfortable. Nice friendly owner and staff at the reception area. Breakfast was very nice. Room was also nice. They had Bikes and kayaks to use if you had the tie. Lovely estate with a lovely back area going to a large lake. Breakfast had an excellent choice all in one plate and very fresh ingredients. The decor was quaint and romantic. Would definitely stay there again. Would not be a good place for small chldren. The hotel was like something out of victorian times ,the decor cozy and romantic.The breakfast was presented in a very elegant way.All in all I will highly recommend this hotel. It is a bed and breakfast and still, it has a complete bathroom in each room. It is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast plate is very original. Very nice staff, good breakfast, walking distance to restaurants and pubs. A tip for future travellers: have dinner at restaurant "chez Matilde", amazing food. Location was great with a lake in the back garden and an easy walk to the town. The staff were wonderful and so helpful The breakfast was amazing and huge!. The staff is VERY friendly, very courteous, the small houses are really nice and cute, the location is good (you have a lake next to the small houses). Location, Staff, Room, Breakfast, Lake, Facilities, Service. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Fantastic breakfast!. everything. Nothing. Nothing!. We liked it all. Close to the highway, so it gets loud in the morning when the trucks go by. We stayed in the pavillion in the garden, and for us the decor was too fussy. Wouldn't stay in main lodge right on highway as large trucks going past all the time.. As much as we appreciated the carefully and lovingly prepared served breakfast, we would have preferred buffet style, so that we didn't waste food...definitely not a complaint, just a suggestion!. Room had a smallish shower and sink outside in the sleeping area. Also would have liked more coffee and decaf coffee access in the room or the auberge during the day. At this time of year there are a lot of black flies and mosquitoes,there was no anti insect spray on the premises. our stay was too short!!!. The very early checking of 11am. If it was around 2pm it would have been better, since we went on a cruise there and needed to put all our stuff and change later in the car instead. Breakfast was beautifully presented, though some choice would have been preferred. Nothing. Room a bit cramped, window small. room was small.
