We got in late from a long flight and were surprised to be upgraded to a jacuzzi room! We brought drinks up from the bar and it made our first night in St. John's very relaxing. The room was clean and the hotel was fancier than we thought it would be. We also loved how quickly we got from the airport to the hotel by calling the shuttle. The next morning we decided to walk to the airport to pick up our rental car; it only took 15 minutes.
all reviews » It is located next to the airport and the shuttle drivers available 24/7. They were very friendly and prompt. Continental breakfast was available from 4 am to 9 am. Also, a full breakfast was served in the dining room later in the morning. We had dinner at the dining room twice, and the food was superb. Our room was the perfect spot for a weekend anniversary getaway. It was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels were provided daily and the jetted tub was excellent. The continental breakfast was well stocked and kept clean. All in all, one of the better hotel experiences we've had. The room was large, the king size bed was very comfortable. The meals were very good. The location very near the airport was convenient for my needs. All the staff I encountered were helpful and pleasant. Staff were extremely friendly... the restaurant (Clancy's) was outstanding! The beds were quite comfortable. Was great having the basket of apples by the front desk!. Convenient location on airport and within reasonable distance to downtown. Good facilities, resturant, gym, free breakfast. We found the staff really friendly and very helpful. Also liked the quiet atmosphere.The beds were really comfortable. The only place I ever stay the friendly people and a overall wonder experience. Proximity to airport, free shuttle and complimentary breakfast. pretty much everything had a great sleep there. Able to check in several hours early. The full experience. The food was good and the hotel seemed clean. While we appreciated the continental breakfast (other hotels don't offer it) there was no coffee when we went down and after it was mentioned to staff, they didn't refill it for 15 minutes. The bathrobes were quite scratchy. There was nothing to dislike. Would have been perfect if there was a pool!. The only thing we didn't like was the bathroom size and the sink not in the same area was a bit inconvient. No pool; not walking distance to any attractions. I don't like the fact that you need a credit card to pay not everyone choses to have a credit card and just because you don't have one its like your being looked down on. Evening meal in Clancy's was excellent; breakfast service was very, very slow. -the Internet was a poor quality signal -complimentary breakfast should have had better/ fresher food -front desk staff weren't friendly, when asked questions they would simply ignore the customer, and when they finally answer they are rude. We requested a wake-up call for 3:oo am in order to catch a flight but did not get one. When we mentioned it to the staff, we did not even get an apology! Also, the bathtub does not drain the water and it sounded like there was a herd of elephants in the room immediately above us.
