The staff were expecting us when we arrived and are very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant (Jack's) was excellent and the staff there very friendly. We went to st. John's for medical reasons. Stayed at capital b/c we did stay there before and it was clean and quiet. I just enjoyed the whole exsperince, the hotel was very nice and the staff are very helpfull and freindly.

Staff were knowledgeable with city and gave good advice on where to go and what to do there. it was a really great experience overall. real friendly and courteous staff and super clean. Centrally located for our getaway ,close to mall,restaurants,in a large relaxing room... Friendly Staff....A welcoming feeling when you enter the Hotel. Meals were excellent. Lady on front desk was very pleasant and held my luggage while waiting for my ride. Clean, comfortable. Good restaurant. Convenient location. It was a lovely hotel, quite new and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable the bathroom was a good size and the air conditioning was great to cool down the room. The bed were comfortable!!!! It was close to hospital and mall. I would stay again!. One small thing: I had mentioned in my booking that we will be travelling with a dog, but they were unaware of this. No problem though, since they are pet friendly and accommodated our dog. I booked on line and had no way of getting a better rate. I was looking for a govn't rate but b/c I booked on line I couldn't get it. I had called the hotel just prior to booking online and the hotel service told me that there were no vacancy for the dates that I needed only to book one min. Later online. I am "NOT PLEASED" with this. For this reason I don't know if I would stay at your hotel again. This was a noisy place because other guests were not respectful about the noise they made in the hallways even after 11 o'clock at night. Check in staff wasn't very friendly. The paper cups for coffee soak apart,could be dangerous .... There wasn't a thing to dislike. Wi-fi didn't work well. One front desk staff member poorly handled a reservation error they made by calling part way through our enjoying a tour of a local historical attraction. It necessitated our returning to the hotel on the other side of the city to ensure we still had our room for the second night per our reservation. Another person called shortly after to assure us we did have our room and at the same rate, but the initial argurent pretty well ruined the last day of our holiday. The TV remote didn't work!!!. No mini fridge in room, I paid $142 night for low class room with no fridge, other person with me paid $110 for suite with sofa and fridge, very disappointed in this variance of less convenience for more money when someone gots more for less money. Getting back on Kenmount Road going east during heavy traffic. small room service menu, Rogers cable TV----. staff said called hotel could of had a better rate but since we booked online pay full price. Disappointed. Found hotel on line other could of booked another hotel. Beds were not real comfortable and the pillows were lumpy. i'm in construction, didn' like the cracked tiles in the elevators. Hotel is a little run down and in need of some upgrades. room needed to be refreshed.smelled funny and looked worn and tired. The rate I received online was 119.00. When I checked in, I was told the rate was 123.00. Ok, not a lot of moneey, but annoying nonetheless. The room had a horrible smell to it which made it feel unclean I had to go buy air freshener to spray in the room because it was making me sick. I didn't like that their wasn't a fridge in my room. It was very inconvenient especially with children who always wanted snacks/drinks!. On a busy street. Noisy air conditioners Construction work being performed early in then morning. All these made it hard to sleep. There was expired orange juice in the room basket that was turning a little brown. Overall a below average stay.... next time I book elsewhere. the stale smell in the room and one of the double beds were very saggy. Ergonomy not well thought: No place to plug laptop at the desk. location, nothing around within walking under 20 min for food, shopping......fine when nice but not nice when raining, cold, which nfld is usually. no pool or hot tub very slow access to internet in business centre restaurant unable to handle big meal groups without problem. The hotel is dirty and noisy. There were many, many dogs there. Guests were smoking in the front and back entrances - I had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter the hotel. The front and back entrances are peppered with cigarette butts. I will never stay there again.
