Proximity to the skytrain makes it close to anywhere you want to go. After shopping you can drop your packages at the room and carry on. There are lots of great places to eat nearby. I recommend buying a day pass to the skytrain which gives you access to all transit busses so you can ride the bus to the top of the hill. We walked up 6th street several times before we figured this out. You have to be in pretty good shape to do that too often. You can find pretty much anything you want in t.
all reviews » First the staff, front desk chris and later jen both were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us in anyway they could. We had 3 rooms total 6 people and all felt the same. lovely building so much history we will be back. good bed we and our dog loved it. I liked the spacious old-fashioned atmosphere and the staff couldn't be faulted. They were friendly and helpful and cheerful. Lovely people, Chris and Sean in particular. Small hotel with friendly / polite staff at all times. Bars around the hotel were good - especially "The Met Bar " itself. Skytrain station right next to the hotel. Decor , design , location ( next door to sky train , waterfront ). , Staff, pub drinks and food , price was appropriate . This was the perfect place for me. The hotel was quaint, in a perfect location for wedding dress shopping. It's close to a good restaurant, great view and staff was super helpful and friendly. Very friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable and although we didn't bring our dog the hotel is pet friendly. There was nothing I didn't like. Nothing comes to mind. I loved it. Grill not open till 11:00 so had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The toilet often didn't stop running. Old carpet smell. Bed kept rolling away from the wall. Not the nicest part of town. Pillows, not great. Coffee in the room, awful!. I will need a fridge and maybe a stove when I return on December 30. Parking was at quite a distance from the hotel. November rain see what you can about it. The location is rather run down and we had to pay additional for parking. Area is just OK I felt safe but a single women traveler may not. Also no safe in the room for those that feel they need one. Ceiling fan pulley kept clinking against the lights, the shower water switched from hot to cold, and just the loud trains in the morning. no convienient parking, older building, could use updating. old building comes , a bit stale smelling, could hear through walls sometimes. The water pressure was terrible!. Noisy guests in adjoining room at 2:30 AM. few power outlets in the room. no breakfast and no fridge & micro wave. Being on the 2"nd floor I found the throbbing noise from the ground floor club slightly disturbing. The trains could be a little noisy. lack of silicon around the bathtub for mold to grow. surveys. Parking. cleanliness. There were pubic hairs all over the back of the toilet and in the tub. The bathroom smelled like urine. NOT impressed. We booked our stay two weeks out yet had to compromise on our request for a king bed in a street facing room at the last minute.
