Font desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating.My wife loved the in-room sink. The included breakfast was surprisingly choice friendly. Walking trail behind hotel was a welcome early morning option for us and led us to the Saturday downtown market. Also very short walk to previous evening watering holes and myriad of restaurants.Convenient location. The location could not have been better for us as we wanted to see the results of the receding tide. We had a wonderful picnic in the park next door and sat outside enjoying the beautiful view. the room was awesome and had all the amenities we needed, and the staff were so helpful and courteous. Thanks.
all reviews » The room was nicely decorated. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and interactive. We have just gone across Cape Breton and stayed in a couple places, I found this was the best value for what we paid. I would definitely recommend it. The motel is just at the entrance of Moncton. Easy to find. 3-5Min driving to Atlantic Superstore, dollarama, 5-7min driving to Sobey. Riverside, though no view from the room. Breakfast is regular and just ok. A good place for just sleeping and moving on. Location next to Tidal Park near the river to view the tidal bore. About 30 minute drive to Hopewell Rocks. Clean room. Modern bathroom but very tiny. Breakfast room was large, bright, and offered a fairly extensive complimentary breakfast. I like the room. It was small, but the bed, pillows and duvet were very comfortable. I don't usually sleep well in a hotel because I find the beds & pillows uncomfortable, but I did like them at Rodd Moncton. I loved the room, very comfortable beds, soothing colours, beautiful sink and lovely photos on the wall. A very nice continental breakfast in a room with interesting views of the street. Very good breakfast selection. Much better than higher end hotels we have stayed at in area. Pleasant and helpful font desk staff. No hall or traffic noise on lower floor. Helpful friendly staff. This hotel is nothing spectacular, but we weren't in Moncton for the hotel. It served its purpose and was reasonably priced. The VERY comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Absolutely nothing... The only issue about the Rodd Moncton was we were on the main street side and the windows were not insulated. This had no bearing on my enjoyment of the facility but some people might have an issue with this. A little bit smelly in the room at the time when we came into the room. I opened the window for several hours. But it didnt get better much. Very small room. Too much furniture and lamps squeezed into a small space. The first receptionist was not very friendly when informing us that our room was not available. She also told us that the hotel had no public restroom which turned out to not be true. Street noise!. I liked everything. Found the heat/cool unit a bit noisy. Free standing sink can be splashy. Throughout the night there was a lot of street noise that was coming from our street front window. Sirens , loud traffic, etc. Our room lacked a fridge the night we stayed there. It might have been temporarily removed. The room was a little cramped and when the main door opened, you could see directly into the bathroom from outside the room. The bathroom was really tiny and the toilet was sooooo tight and literally right up against the cupboard so that you had to sit crooked!. The elevator (only one) wasn't working during our stay, so had to carry our luggage down the four flights of stairs. Street is a bit busy, but after awhile, didn't really notice it much. Can't think of anything. It's been recently renovated, but sort of in a patch-up job sort of way. This wasn't a problem, as it was such a good price and it was clean, you can't really expect more. The motel itself is a bit old. i didnt mind the breakfast, wish there were more options like bacon and ham. other then that it was perfect. We had a drive up room with an outside door and there were hundreds of bugs flying around outside the room. Each time you opened the door the came in the room. No complaints. Time flew too fast. bathroom needs a bit more updating. Floor looked dirty but was just scratched up, bathtub tiling was clearly not updated with the rest of the room yet. Not a big complaint but it was noticed and discussed between my friend and I. The only thing I miss on the room is the fridge, I think it's so important to the visitors. thank u. We were on the 4th floor and the elevator was broken. My husband is disabled and I have trouble with a foot I broke a couple of years ago. We asked for assistance in carrying our luggage. Thank you to the young man who helped. We hated using the sink water,it smelled like a sewer.It was disgusting to brush our teeth in.I told the night shift,but there was nothing he could do except leave a note for maintenance. No Hi-Def for the tv. Smallest Bathroom in North America!. The breakfast needs improvement"the sausages need to go. every was good. very small bathroom and a little dated.. We upgraded to what we thought was a room with a wall/ divider so we could put the babies play pen away from the bed but that's not what we received, it was a half wall but not enough room for the play pen, we wouldn't have upgraded and paid a lot more if we knew that the room only had a half wall and wasn't enough space for the play pen. the bathroom was too small. I always use stairs for exercise and the stairwell could use some new flooring and cleaning Need more hangers with clips for pants. No thermostat to set temperature. most staff great- one who is not so friendly can negate all the positive staff you have :( too bad. bathroom way too small and no exhaust fan. We were there 5 days and a small refrigerator would have been helpful.
