What people say
Everything. Absolutely everything. This was a most amazing stay in
Kitchener. The owners, Amanda and Harold, were incredibly kind and happy
to chat with guests. They took care of anything we needed. The
facilities were amazing; always pristine and incredibly homey. Even the
shared bathroom wasn't any complication. The site was beautiful, and
the old home still had all of it's charm. I will definitely be
staying here for every future trip I make to Kitchener. all reviews »
I thought the breakfast with fresh fruit and, grinola with vanallia yogurt was excellent. It's not something I would have made for myself but I really enjoyed the cobinaton. A couple of more days there I would have come home a lot healthier than when I arrived.
The hospitality was great. I also had a really great conversation with the owners on Sunday morning. I just wish I had more time before I had to continue on my journey.
- Walking distance to city center and train station is a big advantage when not traveling with vehicle
- character building
- well maintained
- strong curb appeal (nice appearance)
- Quality furniture and fixings (done to a high standard)
- friendly hosts
- good breakfast (we could choose from three options)
- nice sitting areas (inside and outside)
- snacks available (free/cheap).
This bed and breakfast was beautifully renovated while maintaining te charm of a century home. The staff created an ambiance that was warm, intimate and inviting, combining hotel amenities with personal touches. Close to city shopping and dining as well as the St. Jacobs market and Mennonite country. Would definitely stay there again.
This is a wonderful place to stay if you are arriving in Kitchener! We enjoyed every bit of our stay and I highly recommend this to anybody. Amanda and Harold were excellent hosts!
The rooms were really clean and comfortable. I really have nothing to complaint about the place. Thanks for making our stay memorable!.
We liked everything about this Inn. Superior to regular hotels we have stayed in. Delightfully furnished, so clean, and modern everything provided to make your stay memorable, felt like a well cared for family home. Gourmet breakfast of your own choice, this was our second visit and we will be going back again.
Very friendly, welcoming owners. Tastefully decorated, clean rooms. Particularly appreciated the robes... Delicious breakfast - all at a very reasonable cost. Good location, close to downtown, as well.Would certainly recommend it and would stay another time, if we were in the area.
What did I like? Everything! A great location, pleasant helpful hosts, a nice common living room, a quiet night of rest in a very comfortable bedroom, and a lovely breakfast. I look forward to my next opportunity to stay at this B&B!.
Amanda and her husband Harald, as well as their assistant, Kathleen, are charming went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfasts were superb. The ambiance is delightful --quite elegant, really. The value-for-money is extraordinary.
The stay was fabulous! The first night, the bed was turned down with chocolates on the pillows. It was cold outside, but Amanda had a bed warmer! It was wonderful to crawl into a warm bed!.
Great decor, friendly staff, excellent breakfast -- accessible snacks and teas always available. Interesting spa tub, well appointed rooms, quiet and secure.
Easy access to the house after hours. Interesting people - beautifully appointed rooms - very comfortable. Will be back in August.
Excellent hosts and staff and great food! Staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable.
Relaxed atmosphere in a lovely old house. Good breakfast and the use of a fridge and wine glasses etc. in the 'kitchen'.
Easey to find, booking in easy, breaakfast choices very good, staff very friendly and gave me a tour of the facility.
It was a comfortable, clean, easy and relaxed environment. Easily accomodated our late arrival- great service!.
The owners very nice, room nice, nicely renovated older house and very close to center of down town Kitchener.
Friendly hosts, lovely breakfasts, welcoming communal space. Great, great bathroom with wonderful tub!!.
Down town location. Easy to access from highway. Free parking.
Very accommodating, friendly staff. I would go back again.
Short walk to city center. Quiet and well done.
It felt comfortable, like home.
If I had to pick a bad thing, it would be the parking area. It was
difficult to find (especially at night), and the tree right outside of
it made me afraid I was going to hit it every time I pulled in. The
small parking area was also difficult to navigate, since I drive a
fairly large car. But, honestly, this is such a minor thing when
compared to how amazing the rest of the stay was.
"it's hard to fault that place".
There is not a single thing that we did not like. To put it another way, we liked everything!.
What's not to like?.
It was all good!.
In room television was a little sparse with regards to channel selection.
Nothing.
I was surprised to find that I was sharing a bathroom down the hall...not understood when I made thel reservation. Also, at present there is no functioning kitchen (under renovation) so breakfast was ok, but limited in scope.
Room had no AC and it was very warm the night we were there.
