The room we had booked was a studio loft with a kitchen, the room they checked us into at the Lizard Creek Lodge was in building 2, and it had 2 bedrooms a full living room, and a full equipped kitchen. Oh, and a jacuzzi! I am not sure if this was because the hotel was busy, or it was a mistake, but we certainly were not disappointed. I have already recommended this place to others and I will definately be back next summer if not before!. The location was great for walking the mountain trails. The lodge was spacious and quiet. That is a problem!!'. The beds weren't that comfortable!:(. We went to the lizard creek restaurant the main seating area with tables was shut. So we were told we could sit on the sofas or outside. Outside was in direct sunlight and very hot with no shade and sofas are not what you want to sit on when eating your evening meal. Apart from that our stay was great and we would go back again. The front staff did not know which building was which and of course this made for some difficulty.Some numbers on the buildings would be nice. The room keys do not work well or some times not at all. There was a slight issue with the water, but staff were quick to fix the problem and offered solutions in the mean time. No screen on upstairs window. We had to request breakfast items eg coffee, juice, mugs. I had to request pool towels on our first nights stay as there were none on the shelf. Its a ski resort open all year. There were a couple sticky spots on the kitchen floor which made me wonder how well the room was cleaned... everything else seemed very clean though. Breakfast was a waste of time , no juice,no cereal and had to chase coffee. Nothing about the hotel. It was great. Wedding took over the lounge restaurant for dinner and breakfast the following day. Could not use the facility at all! That is unacceptable to me. Confusion as to whether we could eat at the restaurant or not??? Turns out, NO YOU CAN'T. Staff at front desk were too busy to help direct to a place to fill my water bottle Quote: "you can see if someone has time to help you". But all was well I found a sink in the lobby that was accessible. Just know that customer service is an important pat of lodging. Thanks!. All top notch. 1. There should be at least 2 toasters at breakfast table so that people don't have to wait so long for it. 2. Towels we put in bath tub were not replaced while we were gone and room was cleaned. Had to go home. The staff made an error and our room keys expired before our stay was complete. My phone in the room did not work. Room was a bit smaller, but still fine. Propane in the BBQ was empty. Left some stuff in a room when we checked out went back to get it and they said housekeeping owns it now. beds not comfortable. Bed needs updating. Bed was very uncomfortable. Sagged in the middle. You could hear the people in the other room talking . Lack of privacy. The coffee is terriable! After check out don't forget anything cause housekeeping keeps it and it now classed as there's and your loss. Not much to do with small children. staff in resterant not very good. no bike storage. Staff were very busy and seemed disorganized. Simple requests were never acted upon - like towels for the pool. Had a kitchenette with dirty dishes, old coffee grounds left in the coffee maker. Staff got our reservation wrong. Had it down as one night when it was two, and had to shaw them the confirmation. Food at the restaurant was bland and expensive. The bed was too hard, bathroom was too small and the furniture in the room was too big and the room was dark. Not clean enough Lack of cleaning Lack of toilet rolls No towels No telephone Unresponsive staff (except for Australian manager) Attempt to overcharge. Poorly equipped kitchen,poor quality utensils, only set of 4, 1 wine glass, Teflon pan was badly scratched. No blender, limited towels and poor housekeeping services. On arrival only 1/2 roll toilet paper, mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, shower head was clogged creating a stinging flow to skin, few hangers, little space to stow clothing. We were there for 10 nights. Although the breakfast was free and a pleasent bonus if you didn't get there early most things had run out.
