My 83 year old mother and I were in Banff for my cousin's wedding at the Fairmont Hotel. We could not afford to stay at the Fairmont (even with a discounted room at $250 a night) and the y Mountain Lodge proved to be an excellent, economical choice for us. We came all the way from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia for the weekend (yeah, I know that is a crazy distance to travel for just the weekend, lol) and we were extremely pleased with the service along with the helpful and friendly staff! No carpet in my room. Lack of TV in room. No wifi in the room. - We knew that the room would be simple but it wasn't clean. There were al sorts of stains on the walls and the ceiling. The bathroom floor was disgusting. - There weren't enough parking spots. So we had to park down the road, there were no streetlight and the parkingplace wasn't paved. - The wifi doesn't work inside the rooms and most of the public spaces. It only worked close to the reception area. Very noisy and no air conditioning. Very small rooms. Rooms were very small and hot, we could not sleep whole night, my brother came from US and he was very disturbed at night, No fan or AC, No BBQ facility, No other facilities like brush paste coffee and TV etc... Internet is only a facility I tried several times to connect but it seemed to be impossible ........
