Wonderful location in the hills overlooking Sihanookville - great sunset views from your chalet balcony. Also, allowed us to notice other things to visit and see around the town, which we may not have noticed had we stayed in the town. Wat Leu, close by - really interesting. Chalet spacious and private, grounds beautifully kept and landscaped around the rocks. Great infinity pool, again with the fabulous view. Lots of seating, tables, loungers around the pool. Staff couldn't have been more hel.
all reviews » Very friendly staff who really cares about you! Spacious bungalows in a quiet environment: ideal to relax! This is not a party place. Beautiful swimming pool. I really enjoyed the food. Some of the dishes were among the better ones that I have tried in Cambodia (we stayed there for 5 days so we could try many dishes on their menu). Only the pizza was disappointing. Really friendly and helpful staff. Pool area was very nice, and because its a small boutique hotel wasn't too busy. Breakfast and food in general was very good, and im quite fussy about food and drink, especially coffee, and the coffee was also very good. Lovley and peaceful. Would definitely return. The folks at Pagoda Rocks are really helpful and quite comfortable in spoken English! This place has great views from each of their isolated cottages which offer ample privacy yet feel quite secure. The pool is extremely inviting and kept very clean as well. Luxury well worth it!. The personnel were very friendly and helpfull ,lovely view over the bay from swimming pool and terrace.Rooms were big and light, very quiet on top of hill away from hustle and bustle but only 10 minute tuktuk drive from town. If you look for a quiet and natural place for your holiday, Pagoda Rocks is your best choice in Sihanoukville. Love everything there except the cemeteries nearby. We had a wonderful stay there. Overall fantastic . Staff went out of their way to assist. Food was great, Khmer food is served but the tapas were excellent, the hotel is small and friendly and is an oasis from the town. Country style fresh air low noise balkony pool. Not a lot really - all was very good. Cleanliness and in particular the smell of the sheets and towels. They are in need of a good washing powder. Now the sheets smelled like smoke (maybe because they were dried outside). Although I liked not being in the town centre, it was in a bit of an odd location, on top of a big hill that was in a very poor condition for driving on. Would be handy if the hotel ran a shuttle service to the center once in the morning, returning late afternoon and again in the evening, returning late evening. Do note that they have a very limited menu for vegetarians- it would be nice if they could add some more options for vegetarians. The hotel didn't clear the trash bin & clean the floors everyday. The road is sooooo bad ! The tuktuk to town is a bit of an adventure !!!. Far away from places. Expensive commuting from city to hotel. Breakfast is limited with few choices. The location out of town and up the steep hill made for some 'interesting' tuk tuk rides but was a little inconvenient. Staff were polite and attentive but I would like them to have been a bit more helpful in suggesting excursions etc. The cleanliness could be better. A lot of lizzards in the room. Can not fault Pagoda Rock. Bit out of the way from town. Lack of information. We had to log onto their website for info that should be available in our room. We had a nasty sewerage smell from the drains so we had to burn incense and oil to mask the smell. The menu was a bit odd, better to eat elsewhere. And tuk tuk could not get up the last bit of the hill . The road to beach take 15 minits by car. We asked a manager is there a pedistrain route to the beach, but she says no. Sing tuktuk transport is dangerous and harmful to the back. Ransport from the beach ('tuktuk') costs 15 usd in the evening. Breakfast is very scared, and there is no food shop in the vicinity. The nearest food shop is 10 min by tuk-tuk. Sometimes there was no hot watr in the shower. Usually where was no wifi internet connection.
