A nice hotel. Check-in time without delay. Conveniently located. Cheap laundry. If you leave your clothes before 9 am, then get them clean and ironed in the evening. The staff speaks English. In Russian staff does not speak (but it's a good thing)))). Breakfast is a solid, but every day the same thing (as always in Asia). Thought to live with friends a couple of days until we find something better, but for a week did not find the best choices for themselves.
all reviews » The hotel was in a good spot, close to the beach, yet away from the party area. Staff was friendly and attended to our every request. The pool was just lovely and hotel well maintained. Breakfast was great; eggs, bacon and hot bread with coffee. We ended up staying another night because we enjoyed so much. Would definitely stay here next time. Hotel is only 2 years old and very attractive. Pool is the centerpiece of the 40+ rooms, most with balconies. Helpful and friendly staff, much appreciated, especially since we are limited to speaking English only. Room spacious, with good amenities such as wi-fi. Ample hot water for showering. Everything really, we didn't expect much but it turned out to be a good balance. Quiet, clean, large room, flat screen and minibar, nice balcony over the pool. A good find and good value compared to some of the other hotels in that range. Will definitely come back on next stay. Location is great, facilities are perfect. It is OK, but I have the feeling there are far better places around for the same price, or perhaps a little more (5 of 10 extra per night). The Independence Beach is more or less clean and quiet. We were a little surprised, given the newness, that there was no means to place one's suitcase on a rack or shelf. Nothing. funny shower, everything gets wet. pool stained our white swimwear yellow (wear dark colours!). Nothing. poor breakfast. Small door into bathroom, no good for 6ft guys for head injuries. Shower next to toilet, always wet!. Our air conditioner broke at night and the water started pouring out and flowing onto the floor every 3 minutes. It was unbearably hot while trying to sleep without it. Also, the drains in the bathroom were clogged and the water took a long while to drain. The wifi was also very unpredictable, and slow when usable. Sihanoukville has lost his "cultural" and "old colonial" touch. It's only a poor, dirty and noisy town. There is really no reason to visit it. Stairs and I would recommend this hotel for a family with children. The bathrooms have an open shower, so everything gets wet. Breakfast was from set menu, and of less quality than we had before. Double prices during weekend, which did not absolutely meet Value for money. staff attitude could be better, poor aircon in room, noisy - bad insulation from noise and heat, pool cleanliness.
