We arrived following a 3 day trip on buses and boats, so the arrival drink and cool towel was a welcome start to this relaxing hotel. The room was amazing, plenty of space in both the bedroom area and bathroom, including complimentary drinks. It was my partner's birthday during our stay and although I'd emailed ahead and requested a small birthday cake, I didn't honestly expect anything to happen, however, he was greeted with a birthday card from the hotel, and an amazing cake was delivered to .
all reviews » A beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms but let down by the noise from the rooms above....from early evening throughout the night and again morning. Stayed 4 nights and each night was spoilt by heavy stomping feet above, scraping furniture and echoing movement. Maybe carpet is needed? I emailed in advance to ask for a high room but was given 2nd floor. I questioned this during the booking in process but was told that there were no rooms (suites) available on higher level floors. It's sad as it. Where can I start...the staff were very friendly (typical of most people in Cambodia), always smiling, and very professional. The building was absolutely beautiful, the décor striking a balance between classical and contemporary, as well as being very well maintained. Above all (something I in particular value) the hotel manager had plenty of time for the guests and always seemed available to answer questions. Well done to everyone at White Mansion...the attentiveness and all the small touches . The hotel is doing it's best to accommodate customers. I stayed there twice within a week and they kept my luggage during a trip in the middle for me. The also upgraded me to a junior suite on the second stay (although I still haven't quite figured out what the difference between deluxe room and junior suite really is). Their breakfast is great: you get to choose between different options (healthy, american, asian) and are served -- quickly -- at your table. Much nicer, and eco-friendlier, than. Excellent location within walking distance to most local sites. Quiet and relaxing in contrast to the bustle and heat of Phnom Penh. Lovely pool and delicious breakfast. Clean and comfortable throughout especially the beds (we stayed at the start and end of our visit to Cambodia). I cannot commend the staff highly enough, they went beyond the call of duty ensuring that we were happy - I was taken ill and I couldn't have been better cared for. A fabulous experience in spite of that. professional service staff who speaks great English and know what I called a true Cambodian warmth hospitality. They treat you with smile, respect and dignity. Location is great with lots of restaurants around. Always has public transportation to take you in front of the hotel. Safe and secured. Sumptuous breakfast to get me started my day. High ceiling, nice decor, and comfy environment. All sodas and water are free-of-charge in the room. Quick response to any services requested. We stayed there for 3 nights, was really awesome stay indeed, very friendly and helpfull staff, very great, nice, comfortable hotel, when I booked the hotel I told them that its our anniversary and the manager emailed me personally and then prepared our room with bouquet of roses, petal roses on the bed and card, very thoughtful of them. We do really enjoyed our stay there! and would gladly stay there again if we back to Phnom Penh. Staff were incredible friendly and they made sure we felt at home at all times. Attention to detail was outstanding. Having food in the pool at night with a glass of wine was a real treat! The breakfast menu was fantastic too. Absolutely amazing value for money and much better than other more expensive options in town. On our last night we paid for a more expensive hotel and the level of service and comfort was clearly inferior. Staff are friendly and they are empowered to enhance the customer's experience. When we first arrived, we were told the room wasn't ready even though it was past 4pm. However, Vichet (if I remember correctly) handled it really well by hosting us in their café and offering us complimentary drinks, showing us the hotel facilities and providing us with maps and tour brochures. Also, the breakfast was really good. Staff were very friendly and attentive especially Dared (probably wrong spelling) who went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The room was very spacious and had a huge terrace. The swimming pool was great, especially when it got really hot and the spa was also a great addition. The location was really good as well, great neighbourhood and close to everything. Can't fault the hotel really. From the moment you walk into this place you feel welcome. Nicely decorated large room with high ceiling and huge terrace (only one room has this feature which is situated above the entrance). Although I would have preferred a breakfast buffet the breakfast was very good with home made jams, fresh juices and cappuccino. Quiet neighborhood but with many nice restaurants at walking distance. The breakfast at anytime of the day was the most amazing thing I had ever heard of and I had never experienced before and to top it off it was delicious and the coffee was amazing. Hated, hated, hated the noise from the upstairs rooms. The only thing that could possibly make this hotel better is if its was a little closer to the river front. However it is just a short ride by Taxi or Tuk Tuk. A small gym would round out the picture!. Some Buddhist religious decor in the room that doesn't really work well for myself as a christian. they dont serve buffet for breakfast. appearance from outside doesnt look like hotel, more to like private resident. A cockroach crawled into our room through the front door one night. It might be that our room was located at the ground level. White Mansion may want to consider installing an insect net to plug the space between the door and the floor. We didn't like the fact that we didn't stay long enough :). Nothing to dislike!. The bed was a little hard, and the pillows were not very comfortable (one was very thin and one was very high). Limited food options at the Cafe. Nothing. May be difficult to book as popularity and reputation grows!. My room had a faint odor coming from the bathroom drain. But when I told the hotel staff they dealt with it and fixed it right away so in the end there was no real problem. I wish the pool was a little bigger. There was nothing that we did not like. A very minor issue but the towels were a bit thin and worn; not what you'd expect. However, this seems to a common challenge that we've seen in Cambodia. Hardly worth mentioning. Nothing. It'd be good if the staff learnt a few more English words as they seemed to get quite confused by basic English requests. The restaurant attached to the hotel was rather soul-less and was nearly empty on the two evenings that I ate there. Locked 150$ on my card on arrival. Nothing. - Limited restaurant/bar (average, dont go there for dinner) - no fitness centre available - good breakfast but limited in quantity (no buffet) - "a bit" far from the river or from the main restaurants (10 min tuk tuk, $1-2) - the staff could be somehow more efficient for this kind of high-end hotel in PP. nothing. We would have preferred a small buffet for breakfast for the fruit, bread and pastry items with orders taken just for the hot food. This is just only our preference. Nothing. Very noisy but hope that the hotel will do something about that. Nothing. Menu at Le Cafe was a little limited for lunch/ dinner. Breakfast was first class. - The only con would probably be sloppy housekeeping, specifically towels were not changed and we were given pool towels when we requested one!. The air con. struggled to cope in the room - filter issue or undersized unit. If you are a light sleeper and put in Room 10 the noise from the reception area may waken you up first thing in the morning. The entry to the pool is very slippery and there is no handrail. Unfortunately I slipped backwards and twisted my knee. Nothing. Nothing to find fault with.
