I stayed there during Carnival, It was the cheapest single room when
booking 8 months ahead. The staff speak English ant he's helpful.
Simple clean shared bathroom. All in brazilien standard. Air Co in room.

Very central, near the metro, clean and well maintained.
1. It is true, there is a noisy bar under. You need earplug ! (but for
me it was only the 1st night, next was close during Carnival).
2. The room wasn't clean during my 4 nights stay. But to be honest, I woke up very late and I didn't ask about it. Maye it is done if you ask. Rest is perfect.
The hostel is down a narrow side street, although not far from a major road.
