Interesting location, as opposed to the typical Zona Sul hotels. Excellent and reasonable dinner buffet in hotel restaurant (was on a Friday night, no idea if every night) Working safe in room. Great view from top. Nice plan to sun in my Skinz g-string the one sunny afternoon. Very good location, near the city centre, 3 minutes walking to the metro station and 5 minutes to Arcos de Lapa. Excellent breakfast selection with delicious fresh fruits, cheese assortment and many others. Very helpful staff, even if they speak poor English.

Modern hotel with decent furniture. Excellent for business and tourist travellers, in the center of Rio, close to the City Theater. Breakfast included, the breakfast buffet is very good. If you come by car, you will have issues getting the car parked. The hotel has a total of four spaces in a parking lot that is a few hundred meters walk away, and where you will be guided by one of the doorman (quite a challenge to find it when driving, due to the system of one- way streets). The cable TV didn't had much good channels, however, the point of being in Rio de Janeiro is not to stay and watch TV.. It's a bit silly that a business hotel charges for wifi. Ou get free wifi on muuch cheaper hotels. The staff's english could have been better. The night staff was excellent. Location really bad. Homeless people laying on the ground. Stayed there for carnival and as soon as you walked out of the hotel, urinate smell and garbage was allover. Walking nearby the hotel did not feel safe. Reception Staff. Fitness center. The elevator doesn't work properly and as is an hotel with so many apartments, go to the reception, restaurante, pool or even your room, could be a rough task. Nothing from the side of Hotel and the management , surrounding is not reccomendet to walk around which realy pitty. No parking; the surrounding area should be avoided at night. The reception staff do not have acces to to the hotel booking's records except to the actual day . The week end when bookings department is closed also can not manage it . I was attonish. Noisier on the lower level floors. Plug sockets which did not allow for uk/eu adaptors. One elevator was broken, long waits for only working one. Room view, the window did not look out on the street, but I guess we just weren't lucky to get a nice view, that happens in larger hotels all the time. The price during the Carnival was way too high. Heat inside elevator Internet access should be free and included in pricing. Pool bar could of been open more but as it wasn't peak season i will let them off. Expensive internet. Sauna did not work while we were there, breakfast was a bit busy and a bit of a cattle market some mornings. internet is paid and very very expensive. Noise of air-conditioner. 4 star hotel should have free internet; pool water needs to be warmed; need more equipment in the gymnasium. Breakfast... Business center could use some updating. long waiting for elevators. No parking car. Reception doesn't speak much English (1 perfect out of 6?) and not very helpful to orientate around as the city is getting ready to the og (2016) and World championship in 2014, so maps not very reliable, they always adviced to take a taxi ;). Airco pretty loud :(. There are some weird strong noises of water running, at intervals of about half an hour or whenever somebody used their restroom. This happened to me around 2am every day, could not sleep very those days. Very small room, with a horrible view to horrible backs of buildings and own insides.... We were put in an annex building next to the original hotel. It was not in the best repair. very small room wifi not free of charge personnel at the reception didn't speak english not close to the beach. Staff was what I would expect at a $R50/night hotel 1) my room was cleaned 1 out of 5 nights 2) Internet would not stay connect in my room 3) Room service took my order but would not deliver 4) There is no bar service at the pool even after you call 5) 1 Elevator was broken for the entire stay so it was 15 min to get to the 14th floor ....I used the stairs which were not air conditioned. People at reception desk do not speak English very well. Too noisy, hotel installations always are hummmming. No cellular signal on the room, it was always out of service. Payed Internet.
