Loved staying here. We arrived in the middle of the night and the place is an easy few minutes' walk from the bus station, although you'd never know you were close to a bus station. It's also as close as you could possibly be to the historic centre, without actually being in the historic centre (where prices double). The pousada and our room were spotless and super-charming. Staff were friendly and easy going. Breakfast was delicious. Excellent value!.
all reviews » Such a sweet quiet place. It was such a great stay at Pararty thanks to this place. Great location - just one block from the bus station at the old town - in walking distance everywhere. It's 5-10 minutes walk from the beach (don't look for a place at the beach - there is no nice beaches at Paraty - you have to drive to the nice one anyway). Nice staff, tasty breakfast brought to your room. Everything is perfect. Very sweet little pousada in an ideal location just 2 blocks from the bus terminal and 3 blocks from the historic center. The rooms and common areas were nicely decorated and cozy. A good breakfast was served in our room each morning at the time we requested. Very helpful staff. You have a room only and a very small en suite. There is no mosquito net around the bed and I recommend taking one because the room was full of mosquitoes. The service was okay but nothing for me to right a hugely positive review about. Close to historic Paraty and the bus station. Nice breakfast brought to the room. Too expensive, no wifi in the room, poor tv. Rooms on the street are a bit loud, other rooms are a bit dark. Surprise that the room could not be paid for with credit card. Left me with less cash than I wanted as there was no bank machine for my bank in vicinity. Uncomfortable bed, noisy refrigerator and noise from the streets. Poor wi-fi signals. No information in english and staff spoke no english. Nothing really, though fairly expensive.

PLEASE AVOID HIGHWAY RJ-165 (PARATY-CUNHA) Highway RJ-165 is one of the options to get to Paraty. If you travel by car, the GPS route will take you through the town of Cunha. However, this highway is in very bad condition and presents serious danger to drivers. A safer alternative to reach Paraty is the route via HIGHWAY SP-099 (TAMOIOS), going through the town of Caraguatatuba. You can check the complete route in Google maps.
