Chalet Kammleitn is a traditional chalet on the Gail River, 3 km from Nassfeld Ski Area and the Millennium Express Cable Car. The R3 hiking and cycling trail is right outside. The spacious rooms offer panoramic mountain views.
For motorbikers, the Kammleitn offers washing facilities, a drying room with boot warmers, garages and secure outdoor parking for your bikes, detailed tour maps with GPS info, daily weather forecast printouts, and flexible board arrangements. Mountain bikes can be arranged on request.
Guests can relax in the lounge and enjoy a daily breakfast buffet. We cook a 2-course menu every evening. Order your dinner with a drink of your choice (soft drink or beer or 1 glass of wine) for 13€/person in advance. The games room features tabletop football, board games, and a PlayStation 2.
The garden includes seating areas and deck chairs. A free ski bus is available in winter.

The chalet was in an excellent location for access to the ski resort of Nassfeld. There was a frequent free shuttle bus service that only took 4 minutes and it took us directly to the entrance of the gondola station. We chose the half board option, and the food was excellent - all home made and freshly cooked every day. The chalet was spotlessly clean, and very homely. We loved the guest lounge with it's bar and log fireplace. Highly recommended. all reviews »
very kind people. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area. The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. We liked free parking space and entertainment room with TV, play station and mini football. We liked everything, the nice friendly reception, very nice room, quiet country surroundings. The hotel is not situated in Hermagor itself but in Watschig village which was misleading. More than that we were not informed that the bridge on the way to the hotel was closed (due to the construction works) and we had difficulties finding the alternative way to the hotel. The hotel looks like a family house and there is no indication/name of the hotel on it. Bridge connecting the place was closed due to renovation and we had hard time finding the hotel.

Chalet Kammleitn enjoys a a beautiful and peaceful countryside setting, practically on the banks of the River Gail, and with direct access onto the R3 cycling/Nordic walking route.
Hermagor is just 6 km away, offering banks, shops and delicious bakeries. The Presseggersee and Weissensee lakes are just 10 km and 25 km away, offering a wealth of water-based activities in the summer months. Fishing, swimming, golfing and mountain biking are just a few of the activities on offer in the area.
For motorcyclists, many great tours are available between lakes and mountains - from Großglockner, Austrias highest peak, to Austrias warmest recreational lakes.

Chalet Kammleitn is approximately a 1-hour drive from Klagenfurt Airport. We have negotiated some special rates for airport transfers. Please ask for details.
Arriving by train is possible, depending on your arrival time at Villach. You can then take a train from Villach to Watschig station, just 100 metres from Chalet Kammleitn. This is an extremely scenic route, but takes a lot longer than driving.
