We had a great experience last weekend Carl was wonderful who looked after us which we did not expect that level of service and it was very much appreciated we will certainly stay there again Donna & Brian. we were stopping overnight , with a plane to catch the next morning from Sydney. Our rental car would not start. The staff were extremely helpful - provided jumpleads and got us going again quickly.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was clean. I think more information about what is available in the vicinity would be helpful. Excellent facilities, not over the top. On arrival I had a problem with a continuous flushing toilet fixed promptly and was no trouble to do. Novotel Wollongong is the place to stay!!! Right across the road from the beach!!! It a really great hotel with an awesome buffet breakfast. We enjoyed the spectacular views from our balcony room. The location was great. Pretty central to places we visited.Ve.ry friendly staff. The staff was very helpful specially Lindsay we asked for a crib and we have it already in the room. Very good location. Wonderful large room, very comfortable bed, great view. Free parking. I was given an out of date card for the car park so it didn't work, and we had a little confusion over the holding deposit and the paying of the bill. Nothing - it was perfect. Not enough time to stay. Nothing!! I loved everything at the Novotel Wollongong. Had minor issue with ordering room service on last night.Staff were very apologetic. Is the only decent hotel near to the beach and is clearly a business plan, no suitable for families and specially with small kids. Very expensive WiFi. I think Wi Fi should be free when you stay at a 5 star hotel !. the place is 'very tired' and needs refurbishment = a bit disappointing. Thought is was rather expensive for what it offered and disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price. Nothing bad to say at all. Mini bar was expensive and the car park was a bit tricky. The only thing was that we ran out of tissues and there was not a spare box in the room. However a staff member did deliver a box to the room upon request. Weather and that i only stayed for 1 night. for good value for money breakfast should be inclusive of the price not an additional cost. Would have liked to eaten in the restaurant but from the menu in the room it was a fairly expensive. Weathered the rain and wind and had a fabulous Indian meal about 20 metres around the corner. Breakfast was very good, but dreadful coffee from the machine. I think it was made on powdered milk. I don't know I didn't have a second mouthful!. Some areas in need of updating. For example the carpet in the corridors is old and a little smelly. A little on the expensive side. Nothing. Wasn't a fault. Nothing to dislike. Restaurant service was slow.More comfortable chairs or a \two seater sofa would add to comfort. needed a safe in room to store valuables etc. Parking. It an old hotel. nothing. When we checked in we were given incorrect room number. Luckily the card wouldnt open the door. Had to reyurn to reception to sort it out. Hotel is looking a bit 'tired'. There is no indoor swimming pool. The tv did not work. The bum fight for breakfast at the windjammer a restaurant.
