Coogee has great access to cafes and casual eating outlets. Beach was just a wander down through these cafes to the beach. The whole areas atmosphere was very casual and beachie' We'd definitely stay at Coogee and Adina Apartments again and have already recommended Adina to intended Sydney visitors going to Sydney in the next few months On all occasions we were impressed and appreciative of the staffs friendly, informative and helpfull atitude. all reviews » Location! Perfect for business - grocery store across the road, loads of restaurants nearby, and of course the beach! Property has gotten better over the last year - staff much friendlier, facilities improving, rooms refurbed, new curtains this time! Always very clean and comfortable. Coogee turned out to be a great location. Great beach, lots of eating spots, Thai next door suited us fine. Bus to Bondi and Circular Quay easy. Staff were very helpful. First time for Adina, will try gain. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable and provided us with all the facilities that we needed. Excellent location for the town, the beach and bus service with connections to Sydney and Bondi. One very minor thing is that where the internet cable is on the desk, it can be difficult to access the power point behind the desk - and sometimes the power strip is full so you have to unplug something else. Clearly where computer to be used so would be nice if more accessible power point was available. Pool was indoors, but in other seasons that would be a plus. to be picky, air condition was limited to 21 degree. Some things getting old eg towels a bit thin and crockery quite scratched. Asked for some salt by phone to reception but it never arrived and still got a room service fee of $15 on my bill. What room service?. The wifi in the hotel was very expensive & did not work very well, definitely not worth the money, not good when you're on business like we were. Noisy neighbours, either arriving late or leaving early ....laughing and shouting .....not the hotel's fault ....just "generation Y" and their classic "no respect" for anyone else... Parking fees were a nuisance ...room rates were fairly high so we thought parking should be part of the deal. The room was smaller than I imagined. I didn't think it was value for money. Leaving. The room had not been cleaned very well as we found dirty socks from a previous occupier and a lot of dust behind the television unit. Also the air conditioning unit leaked and the handle came off the balcony door . Overpriced for what is a basic holiday apartment. A little noisey from the room above. was very noisey at nights with other guests at times. Suspect cleaners were using a mop that had not been washed and dried out properly for a long time, which made the appartmnt smell for a few hours after cleaning. I found it hard to put make up on with the lights in the bathroom. The other mirrors were no better. Just the lighting in bathrooms do not help. I think this is a problem in most places. Not a real problem, just for your information. Very noisy & drunk people in the unit across from us - partied all night and into the morning - I feel they should have been told by management to be considerate of others in the complex & if not complied with they should call the police. The cleaners are up early and noisy 2. Need blackout curtains. Nothing. The property was a little tired. The ceiling light in the main bedroom (Unit 85) didn't seem to work. The shower screen in the ensuite sounded like it was about to crack the glass each time you closed it. The radio reception on the hi-fi under the TV was terrible. Could pick up only a few stations (and not the ones I would want to listen to). The TV, although apparently digital, could switch to no digital radio stations - and these are free-to-air, e.g ABC Classic, ABC Dig, ABC Jazz. The room smelt and I think it was because there was a huge wet patch on the carpet coming from the mini fridge. I also suffered from a migraine whilst there alone and the front desk had no pain killers at all. Needless to say it was an awful night for me. The plumbing was very noisy. The walls were very thin lined. I didn't get a good sleep. I'm not complaining but this was a fact at Adina. I hated the pillows. poor reception for phones and wifi plus it to expensive at 11.00 a hour as most place it free. Old style bathroom. No breakfast option. Rooms were tired in need of decorating, generally not very clean, carpet was discussing and dirty. Bedding. No extra pillows & beds uncomfortable Billing error made. Need to follow up with staff to rectify. tiny en suite bathroom,.
