The ladies working there were just lovely! One stayed on until after midnight to check us in when our flight was delayed. They were so helpful with all of our questions. The place has a really homey feel to it. Interesting, historic, very comfortable. Easy stroll to the train station where everything is easily accessible. Great part of town for us, as we hate touristy areas. With it being a budget style b&b, we did not expect such a delicious, hot breakfast! Eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, yog.

Nothing, would never stay their again. Cooked breakfast included. The breakfast was okay. Location. I really can't think of anything. For price and style of accommodation, it far exceeded our expectations. Do not stay here if you are expecting it to be a luxurious b&b, or situated in the thick of things. No heating in room. limited tea and coffee in room. The mattresses on the beds were old and thin. The website check in times did not line up with the actual check in times, so I had to wait around outside for some time as there was no one home when I arrived. Having to pay an extra fee for the remote control to the reverse cycle (not just a deposit!) -this was not disclosed prior to booking. It is winter for goodness sake. Also undisclosed was a 4% fee for using my credit card! Cheeky!. The parking wasn't as listing in the ad. The beds were old and the remote for the a/c wasn't in the room. Little Noise from Neighbours in the House. No heating in the room. Shower recess had mould growing in the crevices. Booking sheet said check in til 21.00 but closed at 18.00. Smelly Drains. No Air conditioner control unit in rooms. Blinds were broken Bathroom very old with hot water tap on sink loose. Very noisy exhaust fan. It was over priced. Bunk beds for 4 in one "family room" with NO HEATING. A cockroach for added company as well. As an owner of a B&B the dirtiness of the place was unacceptable; the shared facilites were extremely dirty and not even a bed lamp in the room; my sister booked in with me but we were not given a second towel or cup. We left after one night and I was prepared to lose the next night's accommodation.I Would not recommend it. We had too phone twice to get access to the reception area on arrival. Place was locked up. This was in the middle of the day. The place was too dark, not enough lighting, had a very musty smell in the bedroom, the breakfeast room was very dark, one light only and breakfast was cold and no friendly, cheerful ambience at all. the entrance was dirty, It was cold &smelt mouldy, The owners hardly under stood us. Their was not enough tea bags or coffee in our room, we had to use wet towels, the next day, as they did not supply, clean ones. And my Daughter was told she was not allowed to talk on her mobile in the lounge room, to go to her room. and my daughter was very upset about that, so we left very early the next morning with out breakfast. Shared facililities especially shower were filthy, did not use them. Agreed time of arrival confirmed 3 times yet no one on reception on arrival had to wait approx 40 mins after numerous calls to receptionist before they appeared. Very poor communication due to lack of English. Not a nice part of Sydney at all could have got better accomomdation in better location with better & cleaner facilities which we did after we left here for same price. I have never stayed anywhere so dirty. Not even the sheets were clean. It was noisy and squalid. We got there just before we had to go to a concert so had no time to find somewhere else. Otherwise I would have payed again to stay elsewhere. This B & B was grubby and the room was tiny and smelled of cigarette smoke. We paid for and were entitled to breakfast and didn't get any. Staff showed no concern for guest comfort or satisfaction. Very disappointed all round really.
