Port Huon Cottages provides self-contained accommodation in the centre of Tasmania's Huon Valley. All cottages have a private outdoor area with BBQ and spectacular views over Port Huon Bay and the Hartz Mountains. Each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, tea/coffee making facilities, electric blankets, and a private bathroom with electric heating and a hairdryer. The living areas include a TV, DVD player and stereo. Off-street parking is provided and self-service laundry facilities are available. Fishing equipment is available to rent for a small additional cost. Breakfast provisions are also available to purchase. Port Huon Cottages Accommodation is only 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Geeveston. It is a 30-minute drive to the Tahune AirWalk and the Hartz Mountain National Park.

These modern style cottages are situated overlooking the Huon Bay thus giving wonderful views. Very thoughtful owners had the heating on in our cottage as it was very cold on our arrival. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bedding, and immaculately clean cabins made for a very pleasant stay. Staff were also responsive and a pleasure to work with. Clean, good views, quiet, well situated. Good value for money. Room heating excellent. Attention to safety on walkways was good. Outside porch with bbq and seating.

A hand towel would have been good, only had towels and bathmat . We didn't like the lighting in the bedroom as light fittings became very hot when on and if accidentally touched burnt fingers. More shelving in bathroom. Parking a bit awkward.Would have liked a frying pan. Noise from the highway'. Hard bed Inadequate heater. Access from carpark was difficult. Reception was over 1hr late opening on a 39c day! Staff claimed we had not prepaid. Our unit was double booked and we had to move after we'd settled in. Kettle and T.V. remote did not work. On main road and through traffic noise was very bad early in the mornings. Cabins too small to be called Cottages. number of stairs to get to unit - not easy for luggage. Traffic going past the door meant it wasn't quite the riverside haven we were expecting. Drunken road workers in the next door cabin using foul language and making lots of noise until after 11pm made our stay quite unpleasant. There was no one on site at any time to report this to. nice that we were upgraded but for the price the toilet roll was falling off the wall. the t.v in spa had no sound and the others didnt work too well.was probable worth no more than the normal rooms.
