What people say
I loved the old fashion lift. And the writing room. You could really market it using those old fashion spaces, beautiful wood work, etc. you could offer free accommodation for in-kind work from professionals who would activate the space using art, theatre, fine food, etc. people dressed in period costume serving tea, etc in the writing room. People would love it and would spread the word on social media. This would work equally as a tourism campaign and to attract locals to stay. all reviews »
Amazing value for money especially for a solo traveller:they actually have single rooms. Although it has all the facilities that you might need the hotel has an old world feel. Loved the lift.
Basic room with share bathroom. Room was very comfortable, The meals in the restaurant were excellent --- made the stay
Close to Gosford Railway station a very big plus.
Decor & restoration are excellent, friendly staff, quiet, clean and comfortable room. Good position in CBD - Close to rail, buses and taxis - great value for money!.
loved my stay - loved the room so neatly renovated and appointed. the restaurant is great too - loved my stay - been there several times before and would recommend it.
It was very comfortable and nothing was a problem for the staff. They were very helpful and the surroundings were lovely.
Friendly staff, late check-in, nicely-maintained old building, good meals, free on-site parking.
Meals in restaurant good
Location close to Railway station excellent
Good hot shower.
Great 1920/30s vibe and décor, cheap but definitely not nasty.
Close to station, staff great, food good and clean.
nice room decor,good food,friendly staff.
Close to sports stadium, CBD.
Efficient and clean.
Food in the bistro was good. Free drink cards upon arrival was a bonus. Sheets on the bed were fabulous.
convient.
Shared bathroom.
there are no bathroom facilities in the rooms but the communal bath rooms are spotlessly clean. As a bloke I wasn't put out at all.
The door into the lift was not the easiest to manage.
The lift is a bit hairy - we took the stairs!.
(Nothing).
bed was quite small for two tall people.
Sharing bathrooms.
Couldn't fill the jug in the sink in the bathroom, jug woldl not fit under the tap. The bedside lamp on one side of the bed could not be plugged in due to overload of electric blankets. Man in the bar was abrupt upon arrival and rude and spoke too quickly and didn't really want to repeat himself. Quality of the bath towels was lacking. I would not recommend this stay to friends.
Tiny rooms, no extras such as tissues, hair dryer, hand towels, no decent size wardrobe/closet. Bathroom floor wasn't cleaned behind the door. Half bathroom louvred window didn't operate. No insect screens on any windows.
